That's a pretty good point, Nintendo has many great multiplayer games, but barely any have the option of playing with the CPU, most of my friends live far away.

Before knowing it could decimate an entire Pikmin army in one shot, I once used them in the first 30 seconds of a match. (Because my handicap made a Cherry fall nearly immediately near my Onion) Instant win. I felt terrible.

I do agree with you that the online multiplayer would take a large amount of time for even a team as large as what Nintendo can muster, I was just saying how it wasn't a fair comparison. Online multiplayer in Pikmin isn't as big for me as the single player game, so I prefer the route they chose to take.

WarcraftIII : 3KBps down and 1KBps up. BattleForge : 5KBps down and 1KBps up. DotA2 : 10KBps down and 3KBps up. StrongHold crusader : 5KBps down and 3-4KBps up. An hour of video sets me over the amount of bandwidth I'd use in 30 hours of gameplay. Slow max download and upload are not factors in lag, distance is the factor, unless you're on dial-up which is too slow. That and bad coding (demi gods I mean you). DOTA 2 has many minions you can easily have 72 moving entities at any given time.

There was a small problem with split screening. I wanted nintendo to release a small patch that would give a player the ability to play on the gamepad and the other player play on the tv.

It's not like you HAVE to use it, and if they don't put voice chat in, then kids won't be "exposed" to anything. Also, Kid Icarus Uprising online matchmaking worked pretty damn well

Not really. The flying pikmin are the weakest in attack and they don't ruin the blue pikmin. Last I checked, winged pikmin couldn't get object that are completely submerged underwater.

I would caution against buying this game actually. It can be completed within the time it takes to rent, or borrow it from a friend, and the multiplayer mode isn't compelling or balanced enough to be entering any eSports leagues anytime soon (I'd like to be proven wrong on this). The Wonderful 101 or Dungeons and Dragons on the Wii U eShop have a lot more lasting appeal (and multiplayer appeal) and will be much more worthy of your dollar-vote when they release.

Online multiplayer does not come free, in that if it was included, the game would have been delayed. Pikmin is best during single-player. I would take no online multiplayer over a delayed game. I played Bingo Battle by myself to unlock all the stages and honestly, they are not great; I'd rather replay the single-player. We're not missing much from not having online multiplayer.

Apparently you seem to think that an online mode=No local play... Really? Online means infinite replay ability even if you have no one to play with. I have a few friends who play games but: 1. None of them like pikmin 2. They live really far away (like an hour) 3. My wii u set up is on a small tv that I can set up to like a desk. that means co-op play is difficult even if you solve the other stuff. Online play is just an option that helps out people who aren't blessed with oppurtunity to play.

Mission mode was too short and bingo battles lack of online means that people like who game alone in their household will most likely never experience it. Nintendo, you really need to embrace online... It won't kill you. In fact it'll give games longevity. Look at Mario Kart Wii and Smash... Online.

Falling Rocks too OP. Needs nerf. I try to give myself as much of an handicap as possible when playing Bingo Battles against my little brother, but I constantly have to refrain myself from using these to avoid annihilating his entire Pikmin army in one shot. It shouldn't be happening in the first place. An instant-win button isn't a good thing. The rocks should either be smaller or you should make it so it only appears on the slots when the opponent is close to winning.
