Dreams is about pushing past naysayers and doubters, and going for what is in your heart and your mind. Sammy said that he had to up his songwriting, as he was now in a band with someone who upped his musicianship. Eddie was a true virtuoso, he is terribly missed.

This is a band that is defined by 2 eras. The David Lee Roth era, early Van Halen. Then the Sammy Hagar era, where I feel they just knocked it out of the park. Don't get me wrong, both eras produced great music. I lean more to the Sammy era.

Great reaction! I think you're right about Van Halen (Van Hagar in this case). They just created a sound that everyone at the time could vibe with. This was probably my favorite song from the lineup with Sammy Hagar sings. This is a GREAT song to exercise to! Everyone dreams, it's true. It's just a matter of if you remember them or not. In college, I had a Psychology course where I had to keep a dream journal, and that was actually a fascinating exercise. It helped you remember them better to an extent, and even control them (lucid dreaming). Heh, I used to have dreams about being a secret agent, and I was always getting chased. I'd sometimes get caught, and even shot, but in my dreams, I shrugged off bullets like Superman. And I always escaped the bad guys in my dreams in the end. Pretty crazy things dreams can be! (Like Yoda I spoke there!). I used to remember my dreams frequently, especially up until my 30s, but as I've aged, I seldom remember them when I wake now. Alas...

I'm in a quandary as to which iteration of this group I like best. There is the original recipe with David Lee Roth providing vocals, and they were called "Van Halen." When I was a little kid, maybe 6th grade, my older cousin had this album, 5150, in his car. One day he took me to the movies and this song came on. Ive been a Van Halen fanatic since then. That was about 20 years ago. Theyre so insanely great. 5150 maybe my fav Van Halen album. Good Enough, 5150, Best Of Both Worlds, Dreams, Summer Nights, Get Up, Love Walks In, Why Cant This Be Love, Inside...just an epic, epic album.

Dreams happen during REM sleep, if you are not reaching REM sleep it means your body is not getting the rest if needs. One cause of this is Sleep Apnia, Which can also cause heart failure while you sleep. 1 sign of having this is snoring, and sometimes stop breathing while you sleep. All fixable with a CPAP machine.

You really need to react to some of their live stuff. One Way to Rock on Live Without a Net will blow you away, along with Best of Both Worlds and 5150. They got heavier in their later stuff with Sammy Hagar. If you want to go down a rabbit hole of rock music, just look up Sammy Hagar from Montrose, Chickenfoot and now The Circle. The man is almost 75 and still rocking!

Diamond Dave sux tic infected donkey balls. Great Showman, little to no vocal talent, and no live vocal talent at all. Always drunk. Couldnt remember his own lyrics live. I saw roth halen 3 times, sam halen 3 times. Sammys shows are energetic, not flashy. If u like music, u like sam. If u like showmanship, u like dave. Both were perfect matches during their eras. The reason DLR got the boot was coz the band was growing, but he couldnt grow with them.
