Wilco - California Stars Rockpalast 1999

My favorite version of this song. I've always thought this version of Wilco was the best as it was roots rock steady with a flair. In my opinion and though I still love Wilco, they have become a wee bit "prog".

@@theguitarprofessionals8584 I tend to agree for the most part. Tweedy was an up and coming songwriter in UT but peaked as a songwriter between YHT and GIB. He needed a Jay around to drive him. Wilco now, simply is having too much fun to write a good album.

Bennett's guitar was so thick, he had a sound for sure. I don't know why, but the casual scene of "how to fight loneliness" in the "I'm trying to break your heart" dvd is one of my fav wilco moments. I love his guitar in that. Even if he did look like Ms. Piggy
