Summerteeth will always be my favorite Wilco record. Such a golden time. Got to see them a couple of times on that tour, amazing memories. RIP Jay. It was never the same without you.

@@Telepkr I know from personal experience that bandmate relationships can be weird in many different ways. It's kinda like a marriage, you start off really gelling with each other and each other's ideas, but over time, people realize that don't have as much in common as they thought, and/or they just start to drift in different directions. People come in and out of our lives, the tale of Jay and Jeff just happened to be made into a doctumentary.

Who filmed this and for what purpose? Are you a member of Team Wilco? Actually, if you are, could you nudge Jeff to call the Muny CEO here in St. Louis and ask him if he'd allow Wilco to play the facility? The Muny is an amphitheater nestled inside Forest Park... in my estimation, one of the great (potential) concert venues in the U.S. It's home base for musical theater during the summer but hasn't held a concert in decades. Yet, I'd wager a meal from any STL BBQ pit that a simple 10-minute phone call would be sufficient for Jeff to convince the CEO to reopen its doors to live music! He'd be doing all of St. Louis a huge favor ;

I do enjoy Summerteeth, but there's a part of me that wants to hear Jeff re-record those songs. His voice has changed since then, and I think it would bring weight to already deep songs.

I agree. When I first saw Tweedy dedicate **something** in Jay’s memory, he said something about the band missing a piece of itself. I thought, “Weren’t you the one that fired him from the band and contributed to his downward spiral?”

@@kronkite1530 I take it you think I'm overinterpreting? In Jeff's book he says something like, "of course fans miss Jay. He was on all the albums they remember from their teen years," as if Jay was just a guy who happened to be there rather than the principal creator after Jeff. Jay cowrote 75% of YHF and Summerteeth (including "Pieholden Suite"), and yet something in Jeff still refuses to give him his due.
