Oh, those pumpkin plates with the Western Orange glaze are AWESOME! Im going to have to order me some of those glazes for sure! Thanks for "introducing" us to it..You've got me so convinced about that Western Orange glaze I just ordered it from KY Mudworks! Cannot wait to get them. Thanks!

@@WildAcornsArtStudio I agree! I’ve had to raise my prices too because my expenses have gone up. Think about plates and how much room they take up in a kiln. You could of had 3 or 4 mugs in that spot . 😀

I’m wondering if the Cincinnati plates glaze has Oolites in it? Have you had to deal with those yet? They leave the exact bumps on the piece. You can actually brush them off the pot after the glaze has dried. OMG LORI!! The pumpkin plates are just stunning!!!!! My gosh I can’t believe how amazing they are! I don’t celebrate holidays so I decorate for the seasons and I soo love pumpkins!!! I love the handles that come up a bit more. I think western is going to run out of the glaze because everyone is loving it so much!!

It's possible, although Oolites are usually round, like small pebbles. The Western glaze called, Doeskin, is famous for them. 🤔 I'm going to sift the glaze, though, and see if that helps.

Thanks! It's called, Rusty Orange Art. Western makes it. It's green, when applied heavily, like three coats. Amd orangey, when only one or two coats are applied.
