Just been enjoying your vids guys.......just wondering whereabouts in the country you are? It looks so picturesque! No worries if you're wary of giving away too much detail.....I just couldn't figure out it it's Wales, the South West or maybe up near the Lake District?! I've got a hammock/tarp set up, and I'm always looking for interesting new places to explore on the weekends.....keep meaning to head up to the Lake District, but it's a solid 3 hour trek and over a hundred quid in diesel these days, the thieving bastards! @@Dandroid5000 thanks Cully 👍🏼 Currently in Wales, as need to see a few people pending upcoming trip??? (keep a look out), you're are put off by a 3hr trek... It's so worth it tho, the journey is more fun and important than the destination... We've always found that places like stone henge, the highlands, waterfalls etc can sometimes be a bit underwhelming and the trip/trek has always been our most memorable moments. HAPPY HOPPING 👍🏼 👌🏼

I believe the reason for the brightly coloured tent is if the legality of the camping is not an issue you might as well have tent that’s harder to lose sight of. Or easier for a rescue operation to find if you went up a mountain. Or less likely someone hunting with a gun might shoot it by accident. 🤷🏼‍♂️

@@loghoppers We have no idea of the situation of the person who left the tent and gear. They could have become unable to return after getting unwell, being attacked, or picked up by police, etc. Likely they would have stowed their gear and sealed the tent, so the mess could be other people pulling stuff out. All you can say they are 'guilty' of is having a red tent! Mod and Tara are decent people, but come on guys, best not to judge when the facts are not known.

@@loghoppers I look after people with mental health issues . Many of them can't tidy up after themselves. It is a sign of depression amongst other things . The last thing they need is somebody getting all worked up and judging them . Food for thought 🤔

Completely understand why you were angry about the deserted 'camp', but couldnt help feel sorrow for the person, in that perhaps they were going through difficult times and not in the right mindset. It was sad to see.

@nicki3496 absolutely so sad., we've all had difficulties in life and perhaps it's the way we individually respond to certain situations. We have been homeless in the past (separately) and then pulled ourselves out, built careers and successful lives, only to give it all up and become Nomads. But our only issue is... if he brought it in, he couldn't have brought it out. Or like the people that helped us remove the abandoned camp... just have asked them to help out. That area specific, really helps people who are struggling with MH issues, and do weekly meet ups on a Thursday morning to help people (common knowledge).... literally 70m away from the abandoned mess. He is local to that area and has an address/house (confirmed) and should have at least went back to collect it after his times of hard. We feel bad for anyone having to just make do, or forced into something they're not ready to challenge, and for this... we are sorry. but also... this could have been avoided in this specific area, because of the amount of help and guidance on Thursdays, and the local homeless shelter 300M as the crow flies. We were upset, and felt it was important to raise this issue (to stop wild campers making this sort of mess also). But we are also understanding that it may be a sensitive issue in relation. I am sort of Homeless, though i live like this also and though i camp alone, people sometimes camp near me, even if they quite a long way from me and they abandon camp, i have had people blame me, if i see it first i will clean it up, i get some small rewards in the form of useful things left behind.
