I've just come to this, years after you made it, and was already enchanted with it - and then that last cut, with Sarah Jane/Lis Sladen, and the tears just flowed. A very belated thank you.

i love seeing the Blake's 7 women in this! But really I love the whole thing. The flow from character to character is perfect, and not everyone is an action hero but there are all tyes of women represented - just fantastic.

I love how this doesn't just represent female characters, but strong female characters - and shows that strength doesn't have to be at the end of a blaster or a sword. I think I'm more in love because of some notable omissions from movies/TV shows that had other female characters in them, but who I agree don't portray the same level of 'strength' as the ones you included. Bravo, Calapine.

I've always thought it was somehow incredibly beautiful that this video ended with Sarah Jane Smith. (I came to watch it today because of that, after learning of Elisabeth Sladen's death. I'm sort of crying right now.)

That's really lovely! I especially love that you've got Lucy from The Chronicles of Narnia--she's so young that you wouldn't expect to see her in a women of sci fi vid.

This is a very powerful video, and I must commend your choice of characters. All these women are incredibly strong, not just in a "masculine" way, but an emotional way. 2:57 That was the part that got me. Oh God, that movie.

@starsfell It has been months since Ms. Sladn's untimely death, last night I was watching Pyramids of Mars and I was teary eyed throughout. Makes me realize Sarah Jane was the BEST cmpanion for the Doctor and she was TRULY a friend.

This is so beautiful. I can't stop watching. It actually makes me quite teary. This is not a critique because I think the vid perfectly wonderful in its diversity, but is there a reason why no Whedon fandoms are included?
