Hello from New Zealand :) Question for you: Do you find that pure dingo are 'less' of an issue with livestock compared to the hybrids? I find dingo's fascinating and have done extensive research into this unique canine. Great work by the way, be good to see you knocking some feral cat's while you are at it. Ta, Sarah.

I hope these are not dingoes
@Shine-wb6ll2 жыл бұрын
Why not ? Dingos are the ones that need to be exterminated. They hunt twice a day. Eat their preys alive especially the baby calves that get born 1 per year. They are overpopulated like almost 50k in the wild and they dont have natural competitors. Furthermore they arent native to Aus. They hunt everything including Kangaroos, farmers stock etc. If we don't control them, soon you will find the ecosystem destroyed with too less prey animals.

"wild dogs" A bullshit excuse to kill dingo's...
@flashcracker16 ай бұрын
Great work and well done. Your dogs are excellent and very well trained.
@TrentCowell3 жыл бұрын
Are these not dingos?
@reddog53782 жыл бұрын
Yes they are. Wild Dog is the term used for all wild living Dingoes, Dingo hybrids and free roaming feral domestic dogs (less than 1%) Feral dogs and hybrids of less than 66% Dingo do not survive in the environment long enough to build up breeding lines. The majority of wild dogs killed are full dingo.
@markissboi35832 жыл бұрын
wild dogs are mostly domestics dogs that breed in with dingoes - the Kelpie we know of today is 50% dingo why the aussie Kelpie is king sheep herders never stops & many buy from overseas 1st bred from the Scotland sheep dog 1800s 1 bitch a male dingo bred with a poison trap farmers up top used to do but some males got to mate with the farmers dog there's a story about it abc

@shawnkleinitz83573 жыл бұрын
Hey mate just wondering why you think your bigger well bred dog that you've probably trained well wouldn't win against a dog like that or they just not Fighters? Would something like a blue heeler a big one well bred stand a chance against a dog like that just would like to know from someone with experience?
@comfortably_numbat3 жыл бұрын
Good job done when you are culling feral dogs. I f not for the economic reasons then for the untold native animals [ like that emu chick ] that you are saving. They are feral pests and nothing like their domesticated cousins. Keep up the fine work.

Are the dark ones Dingo crossed with domestic dogs? How prevalent is this?
@reddog53782 жыл бұрын
Most wild dogs are full or majority (higher than 80%) dingo in arid lands and black and tan, brindle, patched and sable colours are all common colours in all pure Dingoes (Alpine, Desert, Tropical Dingo). Unfortunately colour and appearance cannot identify most hybrids from full Dingo. The first illustration of a Dingo by European was black and tan and the first dingo described by first fleet records is of a full brindle coloured Dingo.
@mikefoulkes95102 жыл бұрын
Hello Clark how do you process these feral dogs when you've shot them?.
@ClarkMcGhiesWildCountry2 жыл бұрын
Mike, they are the highest carriers of Hydatid Tape worm around so we usually just take a scalp for bounty (landholders submit this to council) and put them in a pit.
