This looks fun! I tried to get into Monster Hunter a couple of times, but it was always too complex for me. The information dump at the beginning was insane and I had no idea what to do. This seems pretty streamlined. Probably a bad thing for Monster Hunter fans, but maybe this could be a good starting point for newbies like me. :D

Which monster hunter you played? Because i played them since back in 2004 and monster hunter World eats this game and spit it out because it taste bad. Its a 90% 1 on 1 clone from mh World and rise with a pinch of fortnite salt not more. I played a lot of MH clones but these one is the most cheeky and lazy clone i ever saw 💁🏻‍♂️

Though tbh if they didn’t do that they wouldn’t have anything to separate themselves from monster hunter and it would just be a clone. I can definitely understand why it would throw people off though

I've personally played the game and as a Monster Hunter Fan its a decent spin on the genre, not as great of course but does fun unique things, I definitely DON'T recommend getting as of now I have a Mid/High end PC 3080/i5-10600k and I cant even get a constant 60fps at 4k. I would wait for a performance patch

This game seems to heavily borrow ideas and design choice from Toukiden 2. I loved playing that on the Vita… but the atrocious frame rate doesn’t justify the price rn. I think I’ll wait for a sale. And a hotfix or patch.

Never played any type of monster hunter game before mostly because it's not really for me, but this one (at least from watching this) I actually really like it. I have my reasons: A) The movement is faster than monster hunter even with the big sword the character still moves pretty fast. B) The building system reminds me of death stranding and fortnite which is a good thing because it gives you more options for you to choose during battle. C) The monster which I find them looks more cool and interesting compared to monster hunter (this one mostly because I'm just not a big fan of dragons). D) And lastly the world which is one of the types of worlds that I love in fiction and even irl. I always love nature x human creations, whether it's post-apocalyptic like The Last of Us or a simple irl gazebo in the middle of a rice paddies or a temple with plants growing crazy around it, I just love it and this game delivers that perfectly well. And I especially love the Asian vibe/feeling, probably because I'm an Asian myself but yeah that makes me love the world even more. Sad that I can only watch this. Oh well. Hope you have fun with this game till the end, Jay

The name is a little confusing. I don't think 'Monster hunting' when I hear 'Wild Hearts'. Also there isn't a lot of coverage on this one yet, maybe it will be talked about more soon. Looks fun but I am not into this genre and it is an EA published one so there could be some 'surprise mechanics' added in later. I'll wait for full patching of the FPS and at least 3 - 4 months to see if they sneak in loot boxes or micro transactions before I decide.

I bought monster hunter World and quit as soo Nas I realized it was totally to hard and complex. No health bar indicators, tricky controls wild hearts I hope was gonna cater to the casual monster hunt player with new easy controls. That being said the creation is great I wish more games had this in depth character options.

Shit, this isn't even their first Monster Hunting game! They made the Toukiden games before this. Hell, when I first saw the trailers for Wild Hearts I first thought it was going to be Toukiden 3, given how it has quite clearly built upon the foundation that Toukiden 2 laid down but with added elements taken from MHW. Also, the price increase is a result of Sony pushing for that to be the new industry standard for AAA pricing, which they justified as "the cost of game development increasing", but personally I think that's a load of horse shit given how much technology has evolved in the past few years and made so many aspects of development arguably a lot cheaper and easier. Given how many AA and indie titles that are capable of doing more with less, I see it being nothing more than corporate greed that we're just going to be forced to deal with moving forward.

All of their previous games have been made with a smaller team and with less funding, which is why they are also way worse. Most people here didn't even know about any of their other titles. Even I, a hardcore everyday gamer, didn't know about the Toukiden games -and if these things don't mean those are small games then idk what does. Hence the comment "their first big project".
