The songs that aren’t originals, the songs that you choose to sing and share lately- they’re the songs I go to time and time again to help reaffirm my constitutions and the position I hold. Beautiful sad times but I’d rather be here with y’all than any other time.

I'll agree with that sentiment to a point. Mostly because it's a long way to say that misery loves company. The problem with regressing back to those same old songs is that they put you in that same mindset. Nearly any version of "Wild Horses" makes me want to belly up to the bar and make eyes with some graceless lady usually on the outs with her husband. I stopped listening to playlists and my favorite songs because they led to those affirmations of who I was and needed to evolve from. There was a time I'd gladly lay around a smokey hotel room for a weekend drinking whiskey with a woman like you and a do not disturb sign on the door listening to those songs. Crying on each other sharing other bodily fluids... Well, the party's over and it wasn't as fun as I'd like to imagine it to have been. Need to move on.

Now I'm 6 years clean and sober. You can do it mate! Learning to play guitar was an amazing help for me too. When practising all you thinking about is what your doing. It's a great escape.

Yep, love Kieth, and Gram was/is such a fine songwriter singer. I suffered a dull aching pain on September 19th, 1973, the day Gram died. I listened to my LA Underground stations to the search for Gram’s body. I told my husband about Gram from 1978 until 1995, when we were at the Seattle Tower Records. I sled a guy working there if that had any Flying Burrito Brothers, he said nope but we just got Fallen Angels tour with Gram and Emmylou, he said it was “godly”, we got it and my husband and children became hooked on Gram and Emmylou on the drive home from Seattle, love at first listen, just as I fell under his musical spell, long ago.❤❤
