SIAM IS 18 NOW!? He was 16, like, yesterday. When you see elderly lions run and play like these 3 do in this video, you realize how important these walks are for their wellbeing. Super cool to see the wild lion too. I remember Kevin posting the photo of him. He's looking very impressive, and if he has settled on land the foundation owns, that's even cooler. Land for lions!

The longevity and condition of these lions is just incredible. I think it speaks to both the absolutely top quality care they get, and also the contrast with the harsh realities of life for their brothers in the wild.

It's unfortunate that lions in the wild have it tough trying to survive. You got those dumb ass hunters out there putting all the wildlife in danger. Nab this certain hunters and prosecute them, give hunters the death penalty. Wildlife doe not belong to them, they are living creatures that deserve to live their lives w/ out being put in danger by those s.o.b.'s.

@@waterbird91 Poaching is despicable, and needs to be stopped. However, they're not the reason why wild lions don't live to eighteen years. Even without poachers, only some lucky few males live much beyond ten, and females are lucky to live to fourteen. Most die as cubs or young adults, from injury from accidents, hunting, or being hunted, from starvation, or from disease. Of course, weakening from starvation or disease usually leads to injury, that being the final cause of death. Lions in the wild have always had it tough, and always will. I want the planet to have wild animals of all species, but I puke a bit, every time people demonstrate a complete lack of understanding of how brutal wild nature is. As for traditional hunting and hunting to regulate an ecosystem, the first is humans being a part of nature, and the latter is necessary to lower the conflict between humans and wild animals. When done right, both are good things.

They're enjoying the best of two worlds; life under the open, African sky, and life with the comforts that humans can provide. They're happily spoiled just the right amount, something only humans can do, but only when we're at our very best. These lucky guys managed to get one of the best from our ranks as their caretaker. Funny thing, I think they know they're lucky.

I can never decide on a favourite, because I love all the animals in Kevin's care. Each one of them has such a personality, that instantly makes you full in love with them. Also, it's amazing to see how energetic they are, especially the older lions. Oh, and not forgetting how beautiful that wild-male lion looks.

It is amazing that the lions don't run away. After their walks, they go right back into the truck. Their relationship with Kevin is amazing.

That's because they have everything they need and love with Kevin, nothing scary or stressful, and they know it, and no amount of roaming is worth losing that. If you could explain the wild vs their home to them I'm sure they'd choose home. Just like that tigress who escaped her house in suburban Texas and willingly jumped into the truck when her owner came.

Using your logic animals must prefer living in zoos because they don’t have to worry about the dangers of the wild.

Siam running ahead, what a boy, he doesn't look or act his age! That is really shocking at Naiobi's vision problems, although I'm happy her 1 eye cleated up. Echo looks content to walk in the wet grass and roll in the poo. Its wonderful to see them soo energetic. Lovely to meet the characters again :) Naiobi is really quite the character - even when she's had so many problems with her vision! What a cat! You would never know Siam is 18, he looks magnificent. You could see he was having a great time on his walk and the girls too. The young wild lion was handsome too. If he came around while you were on a walk with your lions, would they fight like in the wild? I hope one day you might do a Q&A video for some of our questions.
