The trout you weren't sure of looks like a Golden trout. Fairly rare in the Cascades, but are found in several mountain lakes. I remember from my scouting days almost 60 years ago, that we occasionally caught them in remote lakes in the Washington Cascades like you're at in this video. Thanks for posting and for being a steward of our outdoor treasures. I wouldn't be surprised we camped at the same lake decades ago!

You nailed exactly what I missed living in Germany. Something about not being at the top of the food chain just draws me out there……. 🏔 🏕 thanks for enjoying!

and its not possible to be alone in a "wilderness" here in germany. and you need always a permission or a license for everything. its sucks so bad and im sooo jealous i cant have this kind of experience here.

This trout recipe looked simple and absolutely the type of thing I would make lakeside. Minimalism can be a very good thing when cooking and the addition of the avocado to the trout just seemed like the perfect refueling meal. Nicely cooked, sir. Also, beautiful lakes and scenery. I called that screech as an owl, but I wasn't 100% sure. Glad someone else below was. Please keep making videos like this. These are hands down my favorites. Hiking, camping, catch and cook. It doesn't get better than this.

What a playground you have out there. Every video since I've started watching is wicked. Fishing info, outdoors info but never like an overbearing tutorial or educational vid. Always entertaining, always rooting for bullet or bobber down! Great to see someone loving nature and sharing great content. All the best from Wales UK Leif. Danke
