Once again, excellent video Aaron, thank you. I have really started to take an interest in fungi photography, so this video spoke to me on so many levels. Also, can we talk about those honeys? All I can say is damnnnn! They don't make em like that on the East Coast.

The honey mushrooms I've seen in New England have long skinny stems. Still tough and chewy, however; best to eat only the caps, but the stems can be used to make a broth or soup stock.

I have been carrying a LEGO man with a spike on one leg to put beside Mushrooms when taking pictures to give it a known scale, not very natural but helpful later when going through the pictures.

@@jerrywayne3467 honestly, I have no idea. There's people who study that kind of stuff. Medicinal and nutritional are not really my forte when it comes to mushrooms.

@ thanks for your honesty Aaron. I have read many of articles by Paul Stamets that claim mushroom mycelium is the way to go, but also hear others say that fruiting bodies are the way to go. I just want to get the most benefit out of this fantastic fungi

I love foraging but if I bring a bag of apples, the forest guardians gladly trade for whatever they see me collecting....win win situation 👍 Please keep your abusive comments to yourself because you are just wasting your words with me. He probably already knows but tell Alan that they make clip on lenses for phones, macro lenses, wide angle lenses and others. I find it helpful when you don't have your camera with you.
