I love watching your videos! I wish I lived the way you do...on land doing all you do! I love your cow! She's so pretty! Lots of people want what you have and can't afford it or like me my husband doesn't want a homestead. I'm 68 gonna be 69 in a couple days but would love to have chickens a cow and even rabbits a pig and sheep! I'm praying God blessed me with that some day but until then I garden and have a dog!😂 but in times like we are in it is so refreshing to see how you and other homesteaders live! You are a beautiful person so plz don't think your videos aren't as good. I would love to come hang with you! You have a sweet voice to! So keep up the good work. I haven't watched all your videos but look forward to watching them and more new ones you do in the future!! May God richly bless you!!❤

I use to have groves of producing persimmon trees down in the bottoms. Years ago they just stopped producing. It appears they grew to close to each other and snuffed themselves out.. The trees I have in the higher areas still make a very large sweet creamy treat the critters and I love.

I have one in the back field that produces large, sweet fruit. My other, on the property fence line was killed by a county workman who was spraying Roundup to kill weeds (that were nowhere near the telephone pole). Luckily I saved the seeds from last year so I have 20 new starts. I was inspecting another fence line a few days ago and came across a fully mature tree filled with very sweet fruit. I see some persimmon jam in my future.

You should have cut one and split the seed to see if there is a spoon- cold winter, a fork- mild winter or a knife. I find it amazing how accurate the persimmon seed is. 😁

Those are all over our area. The wood of these is also a very hard wood that can be used for arts and crafts or making things like trellises. It burns well too, and can be used for flavoring meats.

Thank you! It would be nice to show the tree or bush they grow on, as well as what states or climate zones. I have not see those in my state, but I was not paying attention.

I have one wild persimmon tree in Waldheim, La. I ate one that looked ripe but must not have been. I paid dearly for that mistake.

I've got those and pulled a few off the tree. Tried to see if it was ripe enough, but still had that dry feel in the mouth. How do you tell if they are ripe enough? Great video. Thank you

Not sure where you live but when I grew up on a farm in southern Indiana and there were lots of them growing in our woods and we were told they were bitter un till after the first hard frost , then we would gather a big bunch of them for my mom would make persimmon pudding out of them and it was great !!

The small one that I showed is a Native American Persimmon. There are many different kinds from all over the world. Nurseries typically sell the Japanese persimmon which are large and almost seedless
