@@maddworld3317 yes it is terribly sad I live on the beach I mean you go out my back door and you're 100% of the ocean and it's sad to see the dirty plastics a big ball of floating plastics held together from each other we at least every month have a group that gets together and we go down the beach about a mile in each direction collecting trash not a local problem so everyone in the whole world has to kick in for this to clean up our oceans and save our beautiful wildlife that is their home

...a lot of garbage comes from recreational crafts (golf and tennis balls are a big giveaway), and other ocean trash rides the tradewinds from other countries like China who is the world's largest ocean polluter...

It’s also throwing stuff from your car, or letting your trash can overflow… then it goes down a sewer drain and ends up in the waters of a lake or ocean. Here in Seattle, it’s straight into the waters that go to the Pacific Ocean. Everyone’s gotta be careful. 🌎🤲

I loved their work and subscribe for about a couple of years but when I did my own research to find the source(s) for those illegal nets and was immediately blocked so I asked them to do their own investigations but they weren't very cooperative so I asked them again and they still weren't very cooperative so I gave up. The stats they put at the end of their wonderful videos are so shocking. I just wish they would find the source(s) like I did and at least try to expose them.

We need more people like Michael in the oceans. He is most definitely an ocean hero ❤. To see a wild creature interacting on their own terms with a human ,is truly a magical gift. It looks like there is a healthy kelp forest where Michael was diving. That is a good indicator of the health of the ocean. It is so sad to see all the various bits of rubbish that is in our beautiful oceans. Probably the most dangerous of the plastic rubbish is when they are broken down by ultra violet radiation into micro plastic.

This beautiful video reminded me of a diving trip to Baha California. We were taken to a seal colony at Los Islotes. We were able to interact with mature and young seals both in open water and in the underwater caves - all with the permission of the Boss - a large bull who patrolled the area incessantly. A never forget series of dives over several visits. Thank you Club Cantamar !

I was born and raised in Hawaiʻi and grew up fishing and crabbing…my dad would make us dive in the ocean if anything fell overboard…he even would make me dive down and retrieve my fishing line if it broke in the reef!

This is so cute! This video of the kelp forest and seals looks like it’s from the California coast. I use to scuba dive there often through the kelp forest and indeed the seals were known to be curious and playful. The backside of Catalina Island is the place to go if you want this kind of action. Thanks for a wonderful video, I miss the Pacific Ocean.

Thank you for sharing this! The seals and sea lions are amazing! What concrete suggestions do you have for us not letting our trash out into the ocean? Assuming we are already people trying to keep a small foot print and that we support any clean earth initiative, what else should I be doing? Is there a way to make sure that my trash doesn’t end up in any animal’s habitat? I see the problem in your story but I wish I saw some actual solutions as well. Thank you so much for sharing the magic of being able to dive with these animals!

I live by the ocean and see seals bobbing up from a distance when I'm on the beach. Even from a distance, they seem playful, watching me and other humans, disappearing, then bobbing up and looking at us in a totally different location, like a game of peekaboo.
