OH so THAT's what those mid ride brakes are called. I know they're needed, but it always felt that they kinda ruined the flow of the ride of the ones I've been on with them. Also man, even with an old analogue camera, you could still see some sparks fall at the end. I hope the operators didn't get in trouble like that one guy did (reminded of the pissed off operator who was quitting and turned off the coasters brakes for you guys, adding years of damage to the ride)

what are trims?
@davidjellis8 жыл бұрын
They are brakes that slow the coaster down rather than stop it
@patternaut83388 жыл бұрын
Brakes to slow the train, otherwise known as a mid-cpurse brake run. On Wild Thing, the trim brakes are the ones right before all the bunny hills.
@davidjellis8 жыл бұрын
Correct :-)That last section of the ride is SOOO different without the trims on!
@ArtbyKurtisEdwards7 жыл бұрын
Usually, trim brakes are brakes that do not control a block section and are just used to trim the speed. You'll see little ones on bunny hills of BM Hypers. MCBR aren't always called trim brakes but more often called block brakes, but trim brakes is an interchangable term for both.

whats the point of trim breaks anyways? especially when they can turn them off...its like an invention invented by soccer moms...."if our children want to ride these "death traps" at least make them some what less rough and intense! to much of that may harm our children! i know lets install breaks to some what slow down the trains during the ride! at least we know for sure our kids will be safer. and safety is key!'

If this comment is directed towards me: Yes, I have been to Valleyfair. I go there several times a year. knightfan96 Cedar Fair in the 1990s was not as large as today, and with their preference for introducing hypercoasters to parks outside Cedar Point at the time led to picking D.H. Morgan for building Wild Thing, Steel Force, and Mamba at about $10 million each. It was not until 1999 when B&M and Intamin introduced their hypercoasters for sale, starting at $20 million each. (Millennium Force cost $25 million)
