To cam it up properly, you need to find about 4 branches of different height and use them to push the cam net off the umbrella, thereby breaking up the regular surface. The cam net needs to be quite tight when you use the branches to lift it off the umbrella and that will cause the other end of the branches to dig into the soil. Irregular shapes are always more difficult to distinguish.

It looked like a palace to me! I had nothing but an emergency bivvy for several nights on my last big trip. It had no way to close, so I was basically cowboy camping. Once you get used to it, it's absolutely amazing sleeping with nothing between you and the stars 😁

Enjoy enjoy enjoy your youth and time to play in the outdoors. I'm 68 and loved growing up in UTAH. As a kid of 8 I'd you out for the week end. Tent, bedroll, coffee pot frying pan, fishing pole and my rifle 22LR and 410 shotgun over under rifle. Very different times back then. Rule #1 you shoot it you eat it limits what you point it at. After the farmers where pushed out. We ended up in the city. Still found places to hike and camp.

If it isn't a daunting solo jaunt into Snowdonia, it's a stealth-fest in the near to home woods, no stopping Claire's sneak away (and some good footage of the outcome fur us). As for here, well it is Jeep TJ maintenance time (Just Empty Every Pocket...) before I get out to the higher trails here in Colorado. Still waiting for the snowpack to melt away to get over to some of my favorites. Great camping weather in our short Spring season though, so a bit of that as well, like last weekend with a quick trip next to the Arkansas river north of Buena Vista.

I'm sure that little insect is beginning to believe in re-incarnation. Or at least deja vu. Have you ever tried those fishing bivis that are sold in the likes of Go Outdoors? They look quite sturdy, if perhaps a little heavy and come in one and two person varieties. They look quite roomy inside and comfortable.

You can make the umbrella waterproof by using Thompson water seal from B&Q or Wickes you spray it on or paint it on I have been using it for about 20 years on my fishing umbrellas

Hello wild bear warrior girl ! Love this giant unbrella ! where did you get it ? I am planning to hiek up the alps mountains this coming WE and make a nice video about it ! It is located at 2000m high, and there is some neve to cross still and wild rivers... We have a montains cabin we are in charge of, for the hikers during summer. Wr have 31 beds and 2 beautiful lakes, and after 8 months of long winter, the mountain finally agree to let us hike over there, still some neve, snow ridges and lots of snow !! cant wait to share ! it will be a great one !!! love your adventure and little wild camp ! I’m a northerner … I lover the rain, all my formative memory’s are in the rain… my first kiss, my first arrest lol.. I connect with the planet when it’s raining, I imagine iv just landed on an unpopulated virgin planet , just the elements and nature .. I’m glad I’m in bed though 🙄

Hey, love all your videos ! I'm wondering something about if you could try, and with your stealth low maintenance kinda camping might pull off. I motocamp and trying to get lean as I can gear wise. I'm thinking a set or a few old tent poles and just a tarp. Lines and stakes of course lol. Maybe a lil cave like that. Thanks for your videos and thanks if you give that a go.

I do know a very beautiful 12 year old young girl and her friends… they refused to do camping because uncle google told them weather was no good in Colorado last weekend… no tornados but high winds… and that 12 year happened to be my granddaughter… ???
