I have a 2003 gmc sierra 2500hd with the 8.1 vortec and allison transmission crew cab short bed ..... building a SAS overland vehicle it's going to happen in stages but it's going to hopefully be completed by summer 2019 would love to link up and explore .. off road fun isn't allowed on long island NY... big trouble you get caught with anything with a motor off road .... fortunately my truck will double as my camper / tow rig for more toys with that big block under the hood .....

How long are the lower links on the front ? 41”?
@stanwardoshiro4 жыл бұрын
On those 3 Link SAS, is that some special shock absorber where it provides the lift as well? I don't see coilovers (or coil springs).
@PoorManGarage4 жыл бұрын
Fox air shocks. No spring
@stanwardoshiro4 жыл бұрын
@@PoorManGarage oops, I mistakenly typed 2 instead of 3 (3 link). I never knew they make systems like that where the air shocks provide the lift as well as the absorption. I would hate to see the price tag on one of those.
@southernoffroad20163 жыл бұрын
@@stanwardoshiro WAY cheaper than coil-overs. I think fox 2.0s are more than enough to hold a light rig like a Sammi or yota is about $250 each.
@stanwardoshiro3 жыл бұрын
@@southernoffroad2016 wow! I never knew of such a thing! I just completed my 3-link on my Frontier and used Jeep springs and Bilstein shocks. Would’ve been cheaper to go with those you mentioned.

Nice! how is the Toyota on the road?
@WILDBILL5 жыл бұрын
About as good as you would expect I guess, the tires give off a good bit of vibration and the suspension is soft so you lean a lot, but it's pretty damn good over all.

Nick Osterbaan I would say the music. It's pretty bad. It's tough trying to find good music that is copyright free. The tires worked fine all day, so yea, music.
