Playa, La Habana. I don't remember ever seeing a colored bird in Cuba! That's why I asked.

You also have red bellied woodpeckers doing calls in the background. Like you, I have a forest edge in my backyard and see indigo buntings often at millet and dried meal worm feeders. The wildlife that has come out this spring has been amazing. We have baby everything right now. From finches to grackles and everything in-between, it's been a fantastic spring here in NC.

Thanks for your comment! We’ve started a live bird feeder cam and moved over to a different KZbin Channel. We encourage you to check out our new channel and subscribe to see our new content. Since we moved our content over there we have not been responding to comments on our older videos as frequently. ¡Genial, gracias por mirar!

I have them but I’m not sure where the best place is to place the feeder. Can I put one on my deck railing or up near the house...or do I need to keep it by the tree line?
@WBUBarrie3 жыл бұрын
You can put it anywhere that's best for you to see it. On the deck is fine by the tree line is good to. I find they feeder they use the most is right at the front of out house quite a distance from their preferred tree line. So my suggestion would be to pick the best spot for you to view them.

I've been seeing the ones I've got here actually feeding on the apple and pecan suet blocks. As well as the nijar finch feeder.

I have a beautiful male that came back this summer after being here last year. He even has a girlfriend he brings to the feeders. Ive also been able to call back and forth with the male using a you tube calling video.

I am devastated, found a pair male and female indigo buntings outside my window, apparently they both hit my window and were next to each other on the ground 😢 needless to say I got some bird decals to paste on my sunroom but I still can’t believe that happened 😢 hope that gives some people heads up and prevent this from happening
@WBUBarrie Жыл бұрын
Oh gosh how awful. I wonder if they might have been spooked by a predator like a hawk or cat. Sometimes they just try and escape as fast as possible not paying close attention to where they are going. I'm so sorry. Thats terrible 😥

The first time I ever saw an indigo bunting, it was lying dead on the sidewalk in front of a Menard's store after having flown into the glass. It broke my heart & inspired me to purchase uv bird strike decals for my own windows. The only time I ever see them in my yard is when the orioles are here in May. The rest of the year, they're phantoms.

@@WBUBarrie the nest fell down so I try to put them back to the tree but after two days it fell again so I bring them home,my kids catch grasshoppers and cricket so we feed them for 4-5 days and sadly,They both were dead since it was so cold at night,I though they will be more comfortable without the box I put them in,it rain heavily for 2-3 days,since all there feathers were fully grown I hope they will live,I took there pictures before I burry them,I was feeling so emotional even my kids cry as we dug a pit
