@@laeljon The only upgrade I did was install a slug power kit. No plans on changing the barrel sleeve for slugs my gun shoots lighter slugs just fine.

@@justinhromek73 I have the compact wild cat bt. With 500m barrel with stx superior and I’m shooting pellets at 850fps and I shoot light weight slugs my gun liked 26grn slugs and shoot them at 920fps I also installed the slug power that makes a big difference.

You lot are right, it's really is a good time to be getting into pcp airgunning. I used to be a slug sceptic and think to myself, are they just a gimmick? But now I completely get it l! On a windy day, knowing you only need 0.5 mrads or so to hit that 130-yard crow is very comforting and certainly gives you a lot more confidence to take those kinds of shots, keep these videos coming guys.

The 216.5 are freaking spot on in the Avenger and Liberty barrels also. Mine love the 20.2 grain NSA @ above 870+ FPS but I typically push them @ 935-940 FPS out to 130 yards in no wind and even with winds up to 5-8 MPH and they don't drift much compared to my FX 18 grain diabolo pellets.

Great Video & Great Information, and the FX Hybrids expand like crazy. The NSA 31.2 grain shoot awesome out of my Impact M3 out of the heavy liner at 958 FPS. I am also shooting the 68 Grain Hybrids out of my Impact M3 tungsten hammer, tensioned 800mm barrel, and heavy liner shooting at 951 FPS To 960 FPS and shooting 1/4" groups CTC at 50 yards easy. I am also tunning the NSA 93 Grain slugs. The movie skits were hilarious.

Great video guys, Elmer Fudd was crazy funny 😂. I hope the rest of the manufacturers out there realize that pellets are on the way out, and slugs are going to be the new ammunition out there for air rifles. But it seems like you still can not shoot slugs in a pellet competition, but as soon as everyone converts and see the benefits, it will change our sport, like when the first pcp’s came along some 30 plus years ago.

Hi, I have Kervan airboss k1 25 caliber rifle puts out a maximum 1100 FPS and 60 fpe. I want to shoot slugs with it. Here are the specs but I don't know the twist rate exactly. I can find out. Do you think I can shoot slugs with this Barrel? Or would it be more of an advantage to install the smooth twist or heavy liner for my gun? I've seen my gun for sale used and a lot of guys are putting FX barrels on the gun but I'm not sure what's required to do this preferably I would like to stay with the stock Barrel if possible

I'm a bit of a novice, but I don't understand why the scope is mounted so high. Why not a little closer to the barrel plane to create a slightly larger cross hair sweet spot (for lack of a better term)

I am looking for the lightest and most practical setup for hunting. Can you get reasonable accuracy and power from 25m to 120m with the 500 mm barrel? For 500 mm barrel with slug of 23 gr 25.gr what you need heavy slug liner or pelet liner? Shoot only with slug.

Awesome Ted, just bought a wildcat Mk3 BT sniper in 22 my first reg. Is set at 160 bar and my 2nd reg at 125 bar shooting javelin 23 gr at 990fps. new to fx airguns is there a better more efficient reg setting to get that speed?

You are wasting air with that tune. Get the slug power kit with the heavier hammer and slug pin probe. That alone will let you drop that reg much lower and get even faster speeds. I have a 600mm barrel I use for slugs on my 22 MK3 BT with the slug kit and heavy hammer. My first reg is 170, my second reg is 140 and I'm slinging 23 grain slugs at 1020fps like a laser beam. I keep my power wheel on 7 and you will really have to play around with that hammer adjustment screw to fine tune.

Currently I am shooting Crosman CO2 and pump guns with self fitted Lothar Walther barrels that were left overs from FX when they went to the smooth twist barrels. They all have trigger and valve mods, extended probes. adjustable hammers and so on. I can take starlings at 50 yds. on a good day. I must hit squirrels and pigeons in the head though as the power is not there like a pcp. Been enjoying air guns since I was about ten and grakle shooting was more interesting than girls. I am 65 now and the situation is similar!

I shoot pigeons for a living with mine, got it from utah air guns. Had a leak after 5 months of work, utah took it without question ( though shipping the thing was $90) and fixed it no problem. I love the gun, I shoot it with 21g barracuda pellets in 22 cal and it’s a killer. I’ve stoned everything from sparrows to beavers with it. I can’t fault the leak because it is used like the work tool I bought it.

@@kr6dr I have use the slug power kit , but I didn’t replace the hammer because this power kit it came with tungsten hammer which is 26 grams . I think 26 grams i don’t need that power , I need to shoot up to about 25grains maximum. So I have ordered hammer weights it comes two in one package ( 13.2grams and 14.5 grams ) .I will try to replace the 11 grams and see if it will help to reach at least 975 fts for 25 grains.

@@mytube3687 Same question. But it seems that the hammer is off less weight than in the maverick. I don’t know if this was different in earlier versions. Any way, if you put the reg too high it will shoot less With standard compct bt, at reg 138#. Hammer just below max, so i can cock it: quarter turn extra less, setting 7, i get these speeds 21 985fps 23 955 fps 25 935 fps. I noticed shots are very consistent with 21-23 grain. 25 pellets and slugs differ much greater numbers in fps. So how ted tuned his gun standard puzzles me still.

I have a dreamline lite .25 and with tungsten hammer, v2 barrel port, and pin probe it will shoot fx slugs up to 1040fps. They are only 26grain though. With 33 grain slugs I can get it up to 930fps.

The impact is very left handed friendly! With the M3 you can move the cocking lever from the right side to the left side of the gun if needed.

Ive got 7 Fx rifles, the Maverick/Wildcat are hands down my least favorite. The dual reg setup is over complicated and a pain to tune and they constantly leak air. I've sent my Wildcart to Fx 3 times for leaks. Get a Panthera, Crown, or M3, skip the dual regs and the silly tuning process.
