Several fire engines, a foam truck, a command vehicle and Firefighters respond to tackle a wildfire involving gorse in the Dublin Mountains of Ireland.
On the evening of Friday, April 29th 2022, Dublin Fire Brigade (DFB) sent 3 Pumps, 1 Foam & Environmental Unit and 1 District Officer to a gorse fire on the Dublin Mountains at Kellystown Road just off the M50. There's been no reported injuries as the fire continued to burn through the night and into Saturday with one crew from Rathfarnham keeping it in check.
The Foam & Environmental Unit, seen using it's deck gun to fight the fire, is housed at Tara Street Fire Station, Dublin Fire Brigade HQ.

@@CobraEmergency yup! i TOTALLY agree with that..... Water bombing sounds COOL but i also think that it's very useful in situations like these wild fires...... but i guess that it mainly depends on the type of fire and how big the wild fire really is..... i mean if it's a small wild fire case (for example) like what we saw in the beginning when you guys went Live from the bridge and many other times that day, in Dublin and i remember that you did say that the chief said that the fire was contained (which was thanks to immediate response by the fire department) and after that live video i admit i decided to go to sleep......i don't think that it would have been needed..... but well if the Fire trucks were finding it hard to contain the wild fire, like in that US wild fire in 2020, i know that there were two wild fires in that year one in Oregon and the other in California that same year (i actually had to do a bit of background reading just now because i remembered that there was a fire that my brother had informed my parents had almost reached his area but i didn't remember which year that was and i don't like getting my facts and figures wrong), but anyway since my elder brother and his family live near the San Francisco Bay area, there was a forested place close by that he and his wife love to go on hikes along with their little daughter and actually that year that California wild fire actually touched a part of that area that year and actually that was the Largest California wild fire season in recorded history..... so in that case, those guys would have been real life savers....... but also it depends on the extent of the damage the wild fire has caused or how big the fire is (in terms of area the fire has covered and how far the fire has reached inside the forest) as well....... But i must admit that i am actually glad that the fire was actually contained....i wouldn't have wanted any lives or property being lost under any situation plus the wild life and the trees being lost!...... and i honestly hope i really didn't get my facts and figures wrong in the 2020 US wild fires, if i did please feel free to correct me!...... and Terribly sorry for such a long comment..... Gosh! i wish i could write short comments when i needed it like now, so now i am feeling grumpy, :-( .........

Depends a lot on where one goes, and some days are just pure chance. Some days in a place like Dublin you might see 1 - 3 emergency vehicles in a minute then go hours without. Try busy roads where there is a fire, ambulance, garda/police station or hospital.

@@oscarosullivan4513 sir i actually do a lot of back ground reading as well because i like to know a lot of things and it depends on the topic i am looking into..... and also i had known that some of the states in India mainly Gujarat could have wild fires because of our very hot Indian Summers and that's also during the droughts and when the grass in these wild life sanctuaries are more prone to wild fires..... but i actually forgot the other states in the Northern part of India since i mainly live in the Southern part of India and most of the forested area is now gone due to our urban areas developing...... actually there is a National park near my home called Bannerghatta Biological/National Park...... i used to go there when i was a kid with my cousins...... but that place is dangerous mainly during Safaris because the wild cats there actually have on occasion attacked the groups there so it's literally fenced off the road the vehicles that go on Safaris pass..... but regarding wild fires, that's pretty rare, because of unexpected rains in that region........ plus the North Eastern parts of India are also prone to sever land slides that can also end up destroying the already narrow roads that go through those areas making it difficult for fire fighters at times

Is that a real shout or a training exercise
@rebeccafionacornel6558
@rebeccafionacornel6558 2 жыл бұрын
well it definitely is a real shout..... because no one would be crazy to just do this as training exercise at least in my personal opinion....... plus, that fire WAS pretty big for even a Training exercise...... which means that you have not seen CobraEmergency live when the day before yesterday (which would be 29th evening/night to 30th early morning) because they actually went live almost immediately when they were informed about the wildfire.......and even from the distance you could first see the smoke where the wildfire was and then within a few minutes you could see the flames and those flames were pretty big enough to actually be seen even from a distance..... and also while training or showing other people how the Fire departments work, they would just make sure that all the safety precautions are on hand and ready to use just in case the fire should go out of hand....and only when all the stuff needed to put out a small fire is ready will these guys show how to deal with a small fire before it has a chance to become a big wild fire...... so yeah, it's more likely to be a real shout and NOT a training exercise.....because the training exercises don't need the fire fighters to actually "have" a real fire going to actually start training......and yes this fire must have gone for a long time because the Foam and Environment Unit had gone to look into it as well ....... and when CobraEmergency went live from a bridge somewhere near by, we actually got to see the wild fire from a distance...... they even zoomed in on the area where we could just see the smoke at first, but then you actually could see some flames as well the were i guess larger than the trees..... but i think that you really should look at those videos.....
