As the UK struggles with wildfires during recent record-breaking heatwaves, this video shows the emergency service response to a field fire last year in Worcestershire. A water carrier, an off road unit and several fire engines attended.
This footage was recorded during a dispute with KZbin and unfortunately wasn't able to be published during the 5-month long dispute period.

I didn’t think that the sirens could operate without the blues being activated.

I initially thought it was just matching up with the camera's shutter speed, but I don't think it's possible for all the lights to match for that long.

The lights have to be switched on for the siren to operate. It appears that, although switched on, the lights weren't operating as they should have been. In this instance, with the safety equipment malfunctioning, I would have thought that the appliance would be taken off roll-call until the fault was rectified.

Should have been picked up by previous shift unless they were working then but next shift when doing appliance checks might have noticed becans not working and before they could take the truck off the run to be fixed got turned out

Great video! I was inside Ashford fire station in Kent yesterday and whilst I was talking to the crew the alarm went off and the Bulk water carrier and scania were called out to a huge field fire

The off-road needs some of those 3-axled Land Rovers with the dispersal nozzles mounted on the roof. They accelerate like runny shite, and look just so cool.

Someone’s set off without blues on!!!!! The sirens will work without them normally. As long as the handbrake is disengaged.

@@robbrent There's an automated system that detects content it believes is someone else's. The system however struggles with making human-like decisions and makes lots of mistakes and also seems to struggle with the fact that multiple channels can belong to one party (e.g. a company). Unfortunately they don't tell us which content they think is someone else's, so you cannot investigate it and have to try and guess. All the people who I've spoke to who have had this issue say the same thing; the content is theirs and they haven't been told which content the system thinks is re-used. You know it's theirs because as humans you can see the similarities in filming styles, image quality, locations, topics and even the same faces and voices. It's a huge pain!

@@CobraEmergency I totally agree........ it can be a pain....... looks like that old glitch that computers and other electronic systems used to face when they were first invented, is still going strong....... i mean, if a computer were to tell you the difference between two similar looking people, it will still find that hard to do, which is why some police forces still go the old school way, you know asking a witness to identify a particular suspect from a range of suspects...... and also it's hard for a computer systems to just remember things unless you program the system....... i learnt computers in my grade school and i will tell you this, i was a dunce, when it came to computer programming......... in fact my elder brother was and still is a total computer wiz...... he used to type programs that could help me play a different game right under my computer teacher's nose and my fellow students were always telling me "Rebecca, you aren't supposed to play that game" and i would tell them "Tell that Prefect over there with the teachers...... he is the one who gave me this game and also that Prefect is my elder brother" ....... and my elder brother always would give me a very mischievous smile and i always saw his eyes twinkle every time he did that......

At least you can now relax a bit more. We're well overdue rain here! But the problem is, it will likely go to the other extremes and bring flooding.

@@FDCAFOK Well yeah, I didn't say otherwise mate. Now, if we could just keep things moist we'd be golden. Oh yeah, the highly profitable water companies have decided to ban hosepipes! So instead of using 100 litres to prevent a fire, we'll have to use 10000 litres putting it out. Coz logic!

@@the_once-and-future_king. The one issue is that the 100 litres from the mains is water safe for human consumption, etc, from a finite quantity of such in a reservoir or similar that needs to be preserved for an unforeseeable future, whereas the 10'000 litres can be taken from sources that aren't safe to drink from, rivers, ponds, the sea, etc.
