I watched a show of Jake's latest band on You Tube at a very small club. After the show a fan asked Jake what happened with Ozzy. Jake said Sharon promised him everything without Jake signing a contract. After Bark at the moon was recorded Sharon brought out the contract. Jake said this isn't what you promised me. What if I don't sign this? She said we will get another guitar player and give him credit for your work. Jake said I sure the hell wasn't gonna let that happen. Jake shrugged his shoulders, held up his hands and said what do you do? He went along with it. No song writing credits and didn't get paid either. Before the next album, The Ultimate Sin, Jake made sure he had a contract in his hand before he wrote or recorded anything. Then he left after the Ultimate sin tour. It makes me wonder where Randy Rhoads royalties went to, probably straight into Sharon's bank account.

Jake E Lee Is a Master Guitarist, and a Kind Hearted Human Being.!!!! And for Sharon and Ozzy take Advantage of this Brilliant Young- Humble Man is Criminal. Even Worse- If Jake was to even speak of this for One Second? They had could have slapped a law suit against poor Jake. They completely Trapped him. from speaking the Truth. But in their eyes they see it as Just Business. (What a Joke) Jake Deserves nothing but the Best in the World for all his contributions and hard work. And the World Know it.!! What’s rarely mentioned about Jake - is his life off stage and away from music as well. He is a talented auto mechanic and tuner. Has restored several classic 70’s award winning muscle cars. Took a smashed, fire-raveged Olds 442 with no motor that was piled up in pieces on a 10’ flatbed trailer and rebuilt it from ground up. Sold for big money through Barrett-Jackson and the car won several awards.

People forget that Randy was playing the way he did with Ozzy back in the mid 70’s. Randy and Eddie were contemporaries. Had Randy made it first, he would be where Eddie was. Randy created the way metal players continue to play to this day. His use of exotic scale and his compositional skills were that of a true composer. He was light years ahead of his time. Jake is a master, he is an impeccable player and he is among the best to ever do it. But without a Randy’s genius, there would probably be no Jake in the mainstream music. Randy broke new ground, he was overtaking Eddie and creating the Neo classical guitar. Randy was a bright shining star.

7:48 just tune my E-String back up in 2 bars to perfect again no big deal. Damn Jake was a flipping' animal. I loved his studio albums with Oz and his accuracy is just insane. I know Randy gets immediately compared to Randy since they were back to back Ozzy guitarists but both were amazing for their own reasons. Without Randy we wouldn't have Blizzard & Diary which I think is one of the best Metal Albums in that era if not ever and without Jake we wouldn't have Bark & Sin. 2 different approaches to Ozzys theme. In any case I think Jake is squeaky clean and added a new level of polish to Ozzy's sound, but I think Randy pioneered the way there so it was definitely a group effort to get Ozzy into Hollywood lol.

Jake had a caustic personality grade as compared to Ozzy's 95 IQ bwain, in all seriousness. Jake was more fixated on ability, normality as life could render in that atmosphere.. No Ozzy wanted a Boozin brawlin butt buddy, a snortin suckin selfless snack-cake and JEL could not assimilate, it wasn't him. Plus you know the game, all lies down a primrose path then before it's done you have gone thru 4 peoples (if ya wanna call Ozz's lawyer wife a people) agreements then you get 25 cents an hour and all the bologna sandwiches ya want, condiments extra. They all got ripped off in the era. Like take it or leave it, I'll find another. Note to thy self: Do you ever wonder why some like him that had been blasted by Dio as a stumbling retard and others in the community he grew up in. He is of a bloodline. Like so many actors and every present Dent we have had but one. They are not elected, they are selected. Props up Jake the Rake, miss him as he was. We all get old but he opted out for a longtime then a great singer was a horndog and got aids. My My. Still my favorite guitar man ever.

You're going to like the next video I've put together based on the Bark At The Moon era and for those who are fans of Jake and Bob Daisley. It's a picture/video/subtitle short movie with some live footages. It has a humourous ending. Coming soon. ;)

I love Jake. probably my favorite guitarist from my youth, but man I wish we had this amount of footage of Randy live. But at least we have the Tribute album. Rock on friends, ROCK ON!

Saw Ozzy on the first tour with Zakk Wyde and thought Zakk was the bomb. But to be honest.. I grew up in the late 80’s with Jake E Lee’s masterful guitar work and didn’t appreciate the genius he was..and is. Amazing fingerwork.

Great stuff! The first Badlands record is my favorite. I love his sound; his aggressive picking with that crazy right hand really changes his tone. It's so hard to reproduce.

How did Jake stop himself from knocking Ozzie out the 1st time Ozzie grabbed Jake by the hair of his head, while Jake was in the middle of playing? Jake showed so much restraint man, & then after putting up with all of Ozzie's bullshit, Jake still got fired! I believe the only reason that Jake was fired was because he was starting to become bigger than Ozzie, while he was in the band, & Sharon became afraid of having to pay Jake what he was really worth at that time.

Incredible guitar playing and showmanship. I love all of Ozzy's guitar players, but Jake E. Lee was the absolute total package!

At 6:57, Ozzy knew Jake was the center of all the attention with his guitar skills. Ozzy wouldn't have it so he grabbed Jake's hair. What a loser.

Coming to the realization that Ozzy is not talented, he sucks at interacting with the crowd and the only reason he rose to fame was the talented musicians that propelled the music forward

His best playing was with ozzy, I tried to like his other bands but too generic blues sounding. Not original and innovative.
