Am I watching Matt Gould or am I watching a BBC wildlife documentary. Pffff the lines no longer exist between the two 😳. Amazing filming and interactions with like minded people and artists .... itbwas like an episode of Coast ... without the jarring commentary. Real credit to you Matt its about time some channel picked this up. Thank you for sharing.

Super duper Matt. Loads on the box right now reporting of our 'craving' for long haul escapes out of this lockdown/pandemic - leaves me a little cold. Not much of me craves the long haul at times like this, I have a fair few exotic memories to call upon - though South America and Harpy Eagle doesn't sound too bad (utterly jealous of Dan). No, it's the islands and coastline of Pembrokeshire, the fens and salt marshes of East Anglia and the the lochs and inlets of Scotlands craggy west coast that sit like an immovable lump in my chest. I'll have friends in these places face time me and flash their phones across their vistas which makes me smile but that just now, this wonderful pair of film shorts, has me smelling the damp dewy earth and tasting the salt on my lips from the updrafts. Thank you - no, thank you. Si.

Aw thank you for all those kind words Simon, that is really appreciated. I am so glad you got so much out of the films! Hopefully we all get back out enjoying the sights and sounds of the true wild before long. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts as always :).

Great stuff Matt. Both the photography and your ability as a film maker really shine. I love your story telling.

Sterling wrap to the series, Matt! Very well done, w/gentle conservation theme underscored. Impressive images - love the yawning rabbit (unique shot, that one) and, most impressively, the sunrise/sunset rabbit as vid thumbnail. Romantic rabbit - potential gull-chow😁. Rabbid dunking a great catch - perhaps gull adding a touch of salt to the meal? Would the bird do likewise to a donut? Didn’t know gulls can turn disgruntled. Has predation begun to affect balance of other life forms on the island - akin to how wolf culling in Yellowstone National Park had unintended consequences for other animals and plants in the area? Your posts never disappoint. Cheers!
@MattGouldphotography3 жыл бұрын
Hiya Paul! Thank you for the positive feedback, especially about the sunset potential gull-chow :D. Hmmm yes, I hadnt considered the potential of the gull attempting to season said chow, this perhaps need more research :D. I don't think so. I am no expert, but my guess would be this is more akin to the coastal wolves in Vancouver at the very begining of changing as they are adding to the ecosystem or changing it very slowly. Rather than in the case of the Yellowstone where one species was quickly and completely removed. Thanks for watching!

@@MattGouldphotography topically unfortunately there is 1 less Muntjac dear in North Wiltshire. This afternoon I rescued an injured adult from the brook near my house, was chased and fatally injured by a loose dog that ran off. The fantastic rescue centre that came took it to the vets. It was a beautiful animal. Keep up the good work Matt.

Dang, Matt you just keeps getting better and better. I know how hard it is to do that. some of my shots are I feel well done but I sadly lack in the telling of the stories, which you excel at. It is not enough to have good or great pictures but you must have compelling stories to tell. I love watching you tell the stories . It is indeed BBC wildlife documentary worthy. I look forward to how your stories come forth

Great job Matt! I wonder if that other gull learned its behavior from 74?
@MattGouldphotography3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Alyssa! Yeah I thought about this. I know learnt predatory behavior exists in several species like chimps and killer whales. Though after the last video I got a lot of anecdotal evidence to suggest this is more instinctual as they do similar things all over the world it seems. :)
