Total respect for living without a car. Long term an electric bike with a trailer would be a good option, they can do up to 90 miles on a single charge, or simply add a cargo trailer to your existing bike. I would make the chimney flue a priority job for next summer and get that stove overhauled, back up and running with a hot water tank if that is possible.

Lovely day in the life Rosie! I'm also very interested in how you are adapting to the Swedish society. Are you learning Swedish? Do you feel at home? Or like the actual village life, doing groceries etc. Thanks for your soothing videos, as always 😊
@thatsalt1560 Жыл бұрын
@@WyrdHag Hi! Teacher of Swedish history here. There are (almost) no villages in Sweden, correct. A series of agricultural reforms hundreds of years back in time split them up and created the rural landscape we have now, with houses far apart and fields and forest in between, but we did have villages once.

You are by far my favorite on KZbin. I watch KZbin throughout the day and have seen quite a bit. I actually like it better than television.❤ Rosie, I think you are amazing. There is nothing wrong with conserving energy or money. I like the idea you have for lighting candles in the am with your coffee. It is cozy and economical. Who cares what some of the viewers are commenting on whether it is an e-bike, helmet, heat in the kitchen or shower indoors. It is your choice . Already you have inspired so many people to do more projects. Lastly, that quiche looked so delicious. It deserved the attention of a food stylist.🎄

Oh that went so fast .. as usual! Only you could elevate a Jackery ad to an art form. Do you know, in all the years I've watched YT and followed people, yours are the only ads I've ever watched right through.. and I admit I've gone back and rewatched just because of the delight it brings (i.e. the "bunny rabbit" jackery .. and the silk clothing). You put your artistic edge to it all and I hope more sponsors will see that and offer you wonderful things .. motorised push bike .. etc. Anyway, it's been another pleasure .. those measured movements and beautiful film and editing .. and have I ever mentioned the background music? .. all a delight for the soul. Thanks Rosie.

Hi Rosie, great video as always. I rarely comment but I wanted to let you know how much I admire the thought and the heart you put into your renovations :) These shelves look great, if I were you I'd probably leave them as they are but I know you're going to keep working on them to make them turn out perfect and I can't wait to see the end result. Winter in Sweden must be tough, I hope you can find a way to make your kitchen warmer and maybe isolate it better as you seem to cook and spend a lot of time here, I'd be afraid the humidity would cause mold to the beautiful work you've put into it. Hey, if you want to continue cooking in that corner. I would recommend protecting the wall and the wood, over time a lot of cooking grease and such will start sticking there. I have had the same problem as my house here in SE did not have a designated cooking space. Also, since you have those little heaters, I would suggest heating up the kitchen, all that moisture is going to cause mold (sadly know that from experience as well). Lovely video :)

Thankyou for a closer look into your life and what you do! I wondered why you don't use the "normal" bicycle in your shed (with normal-sized wheels)?! It seems to me that the tiny bike would require more effort, maybe! My granny taught me that when making pastry, rub the butter into the flour very lightly with just your fingertips until it resembles breadcrumbs and only then add the wet ingredients, working the pastry only just as much as it needs, or it will go hard ;)

I love the kitchen door shot at 28:53 .... it looks like a beautiful traditional house and you made it that way all by yourself , yay !!! The quiche was heavenly . I wonder if they sell plastic window film in Sweden , it's such a cozier life with that on the windows in old houses . It's the only way I've lived in the far north even though I hate the idea of having plastic but it changes my outlook soooo much and once you shrink it with a hairdryer , it's truly invisible and no one can even tell it's there . Thank you for a cheerful way to start Sunday morning .I've got giant pileated woodpeckers at my feeder outside the kitchen window and they also help cheer me up in this frozen wilderness , so , thank you both !!!🤩❤ P.S.
