Funny you mention borrowing flowers. I am getting married April 22nd and we rented centerpieces and bouquets because it’s WAY cheaper to do that and the company comes in and sets it all up and then takes it away at the end of the night. For 22 tables and 6 bouquets all real flowers it was less that $1500

We were good friends for about a year and both ended up single. We hooked up and after that we both decided it wasn't for us. My husband has a girl best friend and she was best "wo"man at our wedding. I love her to death and she baptized our oldest son. The situation is dependent on the friend as mentioned by someone else they need to have that understanding and confidence in their friendship with the person that they are legit just friends and neither want anything more. She rooted for us our entire relationship and is a voice of reason to both of us now. It very much depends on the people involved. Some people are overly jealous, some people have a right to be suspicious of the other, but again it depends on the people involved. What works for us wont work for you. That's just life.

re: the girl/boy friendships in relationships- i think it’s fully situational and also if you’d be willing to tell your partner about the convo. like they don’t need to have full access to texts but if you’re just talking about dumb friend shit it’s entirely different than a flirty convo you wouldn’t want your SO to know about at the end of the day people tell on themselves. if you need to ask if it’s ok to flirt with your friends while in a relationship, you know it’s not that’s why you’re asking. if you’re just asking if it’s ok to have a friend of the gender you’re attracted to, of course it is that’s just called friendship

My friend did alcohol bottles as the centerpieces with minimal flowers along with them for her wedding. The dj had the table play a game to see who would take it home. It was super fun and interactive. Also made it so there wasn't bloodshed for the bottles 🍻

I have a male friend who I hooked up and in hooking up realized we work better as friends. We find each other attractive but there was no chemistry! When we were both single we would still hang out one-on-one but once he met his gf(now wife who I think is perfect for him and vice versa) I stepped back as a female friend who understands boundaries so we texted far less, hung out in groups etc and now he’s married with a kid and we see each other in group settings and there’s no weirdness whatsoever. Maybe it works because it just confirmed we don’t and didn’t have any real feelings for each other so this wouldn’t apply if one of the 2 people had unrequited feelings to the other person still while accepting being “friends” but I don’t think it has much to do with having seen each other naked.

If yall want flowers for the yalls wedding I recomend global rose. Flowers are expensive but they have package deals that are cheaper than other flourits or flower companies. Also, idk how attached to roses yall are but those one of the most expensive flowers. I used lillies for my wedding & it was significantly cheaper . Another tip is to use backgrounds things so like the green leafs & babies breath. It makes the floral arrangement seem more full & you use less flowers. For my wedding in 2021 for around 200 lillies, greenery, & babies breath it came out to be less than $600. I had the flowers as my center piece for 20 tables

I KNOW!!! I HAD NO IDEA and have eaten a LOT of macarons in my lifetime LOL. The allergist hypothesized that it might also just be a severe allergy to pollen etc that might be on the surface of raw almonds paired with a mild almond allergy activated by any kind of cardio etc, which is not SUPER helpful lmao but im not interested in testing my limits, so I've just avoided all almond based items like milk and continued eating macarons since they apparently don't bother me (and keep an epipen on hand for emergencies)

Comment on the guys and girls being friends. My best friend is a guy, going on nine years, and I 100% wish I would have put boundaries in place for myself. I've been with my S.O. for nearly three years now and my best guy friend does not like him. It's mostly my fault because one time my guy made me sad, i told my best friend about it and it made him mad at him. Now, I'm trying to put those boundaries up and my friend doesn't understand them or why I've changed/started acting different around him. I'm sure it probably doesn't help that my best friend is in love with me. I've also had another best friendship with a guy where we acted like siblings, told each other everything, even the weird gross stuff and it was fine. I think it just depends on the person.

Well you guys will be baffled to here that a Hindu upper middle class family in India would easily spend at least a 100 thousand to 200 thousand dollars for a wedding! Also we have more days and rituals in Hindu cultures weddings which does increase the expenditure! But an average middle class family would spend about 25 - 30 thousand dollars or less depending on their budget/financial status! Also the finance and events are usually done by the bride's family! A couple or a few of the wedding events and their expenditure depending on the region or family cultures are from the groom's side! It's bonkers! Ya'll should definitely attend at least one proper traditionally done Indian wedding in your life! Preferably in India! Also 500 thousand dollars is the expenditure by the ultra rich people in India, those who have that kind of budget! Some even go further than that! The richest family in India spent about 12-13 million dollars on their daughters wedding! It is insane in the membrane type shit! It's like this because we pride ourselves in weddings and kinda upping others, kinda showing off! And mostly because marriage is a way too serious and big of a deal and is supposed to be the number 1 thing you have to look forward to! It's very very bad!
