One thing I love about you both is how much you celebrate your accomplishments. I love how you've celebrated throughout this whole build. Lou's whoops of joy every time you figure out a complicated task. Dana showering Lou with compliments for every new step in a project completed. How you're both taking the time now to look back and reflect on how far you've come since this time last year. It's a beautiful thing to witness!

That's what I plan on doing. Three unconnected small shipping containers unattached to each other, but in a U-shape with a covered porch in between to connect them all. Just seems easier than trying to connect them all, plus more privacy in the bedroom and bathroom when they are separated, plus it helps living in north carolina where the winters aren't too harsh

A home and a sizeable house too,! 3x8x20 heated, 2x8x20, open air living space,,, have you thought of using yr spring water flow to install a small water/ electricity generating turbine, that could used to pump groundheat into yr interior living spaces ,, could alleviate, augment, reduce yr heating the rooms with wood burning ?

What I am still missing in your lovely tiny house, i,s a small table and chairs in the kitchen. You can have foldable furnitures and hang them on the opposite site of the oven. You are now a small familiy and it is nice when the family can sit together, take the meals on a table instead sitting on the floor. I wish you only happy days in your tiny house and in this wonderful environment.

You do great work but some questions. Bathroom? Shower? Paint the exterior - looks unfinished. Still not sure why not connected. Seems inefficient to heat/cool each one separately. What happens when your son gets bigger. I wonder if you are actually living there?

Congrats! One note, the rust on the outside of the containers could be harmful to Max and your pup too. Maybe just use a clear coat spray paint ….. if you are going paint later!

It’s been said that “Home is where you hang your hat.” True… but for me, home is where I can park my muddy boots at the door and my pearl earrings in a handmade wooden jewelry box. It’s where I can cook healthy food, enjoy my books and crafts, mess around with my skill toys, have a place to dry my wild swimming gear, and invite friends over for dinner and a night of cards or board games. It’s where I can grow and preserve food, and enjoy my horses, plants, and pets. You guys are not going to paint or finish the outside of the containers? They stick out a little, not very innkeeping with the surrounding area. I think a coat of paint might help it all look cohesive.
