1988 Westfalia Vanagon - Day in the Life (Winter Camping)

This video gives a glimpse into our normal day in van life while we were living in this 1988 Westfalia Vanagon this past December during the middle of winter in the Pacific Northwest - all thanks to the guys at Peace Vans!
Winter camping can be really tough as it's freezing and there are mornings you wake up and the van is literally frozen shut. But we found that with our propane heater, lots of warm layers, and a good attitude you can take in the peaceful surroundings in a completely different way because there aren't any other people around. The quiet and calmness that we enjoyed while exploring the Hoh Rainforest is something I will never forget. Also, the beach that is featured in the middle of the video is Ruby Beach and it is one of the southern beaches in the coastal section of Olympic National Park in the state of Washington.
I definitely want to try our this road trip again though sometime in the summer. Who knows, maybe we should do a van trip across all of America one day!?

I don't know your schedule in the US but in east Texas where I am the humidity and the density of the trees qualifies it as a jungle climate too. There is diverse wildlife including bobcats and mt lions and I hear there are bears coming in....of course lots of snakes and bugs. This is pine country but there are also tons of other tree species! Right now its the rainy season.
