it sounde to me like he struggled to believe it , but was so full of range he tried his best to. the moment he stopped his speech, and spurtet out "goddam you dickie" he sounded so confident, it was like he realized why it didn't feel right.

The performances here are absolutely fantastic. Such a masterclass sequence of emotion, line deliveries, and atmosphere. Be hard pressed to find a show as great as this anymore.

Jeremy Davies and Margo Martindale deserved every bit of the praise they got and then some for their roles in this show. It’s a crime Walton Goggins & Timothy Olyphant didn’t ever win anything as well.

Jeremy Davies really nailed the “sniveling coward” aspect of Dickie Bennet. You know how all those supposed “tough guys” behave in a threatening manner when they have the advantage, or the numbers? …but the second they realize their options are dwindling & they can’t fool their way out of a situation, they break down in tears & beg. No morals, no honor…but no pride, or dignity, neither. I hated how well Dickie Bennet was acted.

Sometimes the writers in this show were awesome, then other times, like this, they were just terrible. How's Ray going to explain knocking a fellow law enforcement out cold? This show was way better than the Reacher series - that TV show has the worst writers in that Reacher would probably be jailed in every episode if it was real life.

I must respectfully disagree. The essence of the man is in the title of the show. Raylan Givens was born into evil, but he made himself be better. He became Justice. He often doesn't follow the letter of the law, but he believes in its spirit. In that context, everything he did was Justified.
