I never had a mixer like this. I have it now for over a year and it is worth every single $. Everthing is designed to perfection and the mixing is impressive for both high hydration doughs and stiff. Really gentle but super effective with the action from the hook and the rotating bowl. Cleaning is amazingly easy. I was hesitating to buy the ankarsum but from what I saw is definetely way more complex than this one. The construction is really solid and seems to be lasting forever, but I would buy it again without any doubt.

Good to hear. I have also been looking at the Ankarsrum and am torn between the two. I do have a Kenwood, but I want to do larger batches of bread.

Did Wilfa address the non stick peeling from the spiral hook. I have seen several people voice this problem and I was wondering if that has been sorted or if that's still a problem?

Hi Zebitz, We haven't had any issues with the non-stick coating peeling off so far.

I would really prefer a stainless steel hook with no coating. It's the only thing that puts me off and now doubly so. Thanks for sharing that there has been any issue.

At this price and when made with some sort of baking industry in norway, it must be. Cannot imagine they would not prioritize it, and wouldnt really be a "probaker" if not
