23:55 Vincent Price was a very major actor for horror films and such back in the day (who passed away in 93). while i wasn't born yet to know a lot of his stuff, my mother was a big fan and due to my interest in general of horror and horror related stuff, i'd go on the learn a bit more about him. One of his biggest known about roles to even people that don't know him well is his role of doing the narration at the end of Michael Jacksons song "Thriller" 29:46 Captain Lou Albano was a professional wrestler who also played mario for the live action portions of the old Super Mario Brothers Super Show cartoon, a cartoon that i yet again wasn't born yet to watch normally, but somehow ended up with dvds of and watched them all. Weird fun fact, if you go on steam right now and look for mario, you CAN find the mario bros 3 cartoons from around the same time period, just sorta for sale on steam. I have no idea how this happened, but it's there...

When I come across someone who doesn't know Vincent Price, I tend to mention his role as Edward Scissorhands' creator, his last role. I recently listened to some of the old radio plays where he voiced The Saint and those are pretty good, they showcased some of his comedic timing in certain snarky lines. The other person I heard theduck say "Who?" on was Donald Pleasance. He was a classic British actor who's probably best known for playing Doctor Loomis in the original Halloween series of films. I believe he also played a Bond villain at one time, and played the villain in one of my favorite Mystery Science Theater 3000 films, Pumaman.

I think that Lou Albano mario psa sticks more because of a few reasons: 1, it’s kind of like that cool/ fun relative actually sitting you down for a serious talk, because when they do that you know they’re being serious and 2, Lou was a wrestling manager, so he’s 100 percent seen people affected by most of what he talks about, so he’s bringing a genuine sincerity to his words you can’t help but hear and 3rd, it’s mario, he cares.

The look of confusion when you saw real life Mario is funny. So one of the American made Mario cartoons had live action segments, they even use these Mario segments in the American Zelda cartoon (thank God that cartoon is not canon). They continued using this version of Mario for PSA’s at the time which honestly sounds like a more aggressive take on something Mario would actually do. Sidenote: The fact he said “Go to Hell before you die.” is funny to me since going to Hell while alive is the plot of the third Paper Mario game’s seventh chapter.

Then it turns out he's a cheating ass so we can't tell which are real and which are lies (he is quite talented, I'll give him that), and to this day he believes he stands in a moral pedestal looking down on everyone.

funny enough~ 1:42 that's not a coincidence. see, what I've learned is that before Donkey Kong, the man the myth the legend Shigeru Miyamoto (who created Mario and is a big name game developer) wanted to make a Popeye arcade game but due to licensings back then: he had to start from scratch and not only did the big ape become a well known bad guy for a good while and later a hero(ish) but Nintendo got their mascot to this day. wild how one event starts another.

Fun Fact: Donkey Kong (the arcade) was originally meant to be about Popeye the Sailor! Popeye would have had Mario’s role, Donkey Kong would have been Bluto, and Princess Peach would have been Olive Oyl.

Billy Mitchel is the alleged world record holder on the original Donkey Kong to this day for various reasons. Many if which are conspicuous. Billy actually sued Cartoon Network for an episode of Regular Show that portrayed a similar likeness to him in an episode involving beating the high score at an arcade machine. He lost the case due to some hilarious circumstance of the character being a big floating head and hands with no direct scrutiny of his name making the case in favor of CN and Regular Show.

The anime you didn't rognize during the Life Call/ Alert is Inuyasha. Vincent Price is an icon of classic horror. He was the talking voice in Thriller and had a character that was basically him in the Thirteen Ghosts of Scooby Doo that he voiced. His voice is very iconic for horror.

Billy Mitchel is known for being the world record holder for Pac-Man and Donkey Kong. In the past few years it had been revealed that Billy cheated his Donkey Kong highscore by using an emulator, which resulted his world record in being removed from the Guinness World Records and Twin Galaxies. Billy ended up suing Twin Galaxies for defamation, despite the evidence against him. Also, there was an episode of Regular Show from Season 2 called "High Score" in which the villain is named Garrett Bobby Ferguson, and meant to be based off Billy. 4 years after the episode aired, Billy would end up suing Cartoon Network for "infringing on his likeness" (the case would be thrown out). If you want to learn more about the Billy Mitchell situation then I recommend watching Karl Jobst's videos on the whole matter (Billy would also end up suing him as well funnily enough lol).

Actually, Kermit was already around at that time and was featured in another series of commercials for Klaussen's Bread. He was often paired with another puppet named Mac who would constantly torture him in pretty much the same way Wilkins tormented Wontkins (except I don't think Mac ever tried to kill Kermit as far as I'm aware).

Billy Mitchell is a well know high score breaking gamer for mainly arcade cabinets. he mainly beat the Pac-Man and Donkey Kong games but a few years back they revoked he's high score for Donkey Kong cause they believed he cheated with an emulator. of course, in 2020, they then changed it so he's scores were true because of looking over the footage again. man has been on a roller coaster of if he cheated or not and i felt bad. and, this is just my own thing but: back when i went to this gaming showcase, which had all kinds of old games and consoles like a ton of arcade cabinets, a huge Pac-Man game and even a Virtual Boy, i actually got to meet him in person. brought along my Pac-Man "cosplay" (just me carrying around a cardboard cutout i made with foam pellets) and he signed my Pac-Man amiibo, which i got i believe days before to get him to sign it and it was the last one at Wal-Mart. it was a pretty cool week.
