I liked it so much. What propably disturbs me about the whole body politic in our country is the fact that it only involves the defunct ANC and nothing about our country. It is perhaps cordial for every South African citizen to roll up his sleeves and save our forgotten country from the demise by the so called liberators who destroyed. The last three decades was about the ANC at the expense of South Africa. We now need people who will take pride in rebuilding the remains of South Africa if there are any to fix together. We need a strong government to put pieces together for future generations and the welfare of our kids. Hopefully the storm will be over after the National Elections in 2024. Politics should be about recovery from the thirty year destruction by the African National Destruction Congress.

It's interesting that Dr. Ongama brings up the issue of marginalized professionals who have the prospects to live outside of politics. This is another political issue that needs to be studied carefully. BIG UP🔥🔥🔥
@thulanitshabalala6522 Жыл бұрын
Yea I definitely agree with Doc that black professionals feel marginalised in politics. And I use the word feel very intentionally. My position is black professional due to them being disciplined through the type of higher education system we have in South Africa or the hegemonic education system that makes an average black student believe that politics is something “lesser” and factual believe that politics will limit their level of access or penetration they can have into the professional class. This is why an average developing professional believe politics is something that should be abandoned. So the marginalisation in my view is internal because it’s contradicts the popular notion that we professionals a above this politics thing. Which is the reason why any “radical” political discourse is completely unwelcomed and uncomfortable at best in cooperate normal day to day functions. Adding to this, most professional due to their class position feel a need to impose themselves to the lower classes of workers, like their ideas and contributions are inherently superior. So professional’s want to abandon politics as a means to make themselves palatable to cooperate spaces then want to go back to politics when it is most convenient or when they finally realise how irreconcilable this system is, then expect no criticism or interrogation and worse impose themselves on people who stick by politics. So instead of professionals gracefully reconciling themselves with other “lower” worker + peasants and being in solidarity on equal grounding with them as for them due to the nature of their work were perhaps forced to stick with politics. But currently professionals instead want to impose and have unwarranted expectations which is what causes the conflict. (this is a very shallow brief explanation)

We ask ourselves many questions during those hard times.Many of us starts not to involve themselves in politics. Many people don't vote and many of them are fed and decided not to vote since the ANC has shown no interest to its citizens especially when they foresee that things are not the way they were told, we are still suffering.

I would expect non political intellectuals to investigate the funders of the EFF, and what that means. I would further wish that they discuss , at length, Malema's association with Lord Renwick of the UK. And what about the millions the EFF have made in their personal capacity? How did they get to be this rich? Don't be scared to go there if you want to have a proper robust discussion.

If the voters were to vote purely based on actual facts on the ground, i.e, electricity supply and its impact on the economy, out of control unemployment figures, erosion of our state institutions created by our forebears to guarantee a solid foundation from which to build the Rainbow Nation and African Renaissance dream, climbing interest rates that have enslaved the vast majority of south africans to crippling high cost of living, wholesale looting through corruption.....the ANC would drop below 40%. But alas, the SA vote is still paralyzed by its ANC fidelity, even in the face of all the aforementioned shortcomings. Considering the later point, i proffer that the ANC could land anywhere between 46 - 48% mark. Our beautiful country is suffering from a deficit of vision and in desperate need of leaders with unimpeachable rectitude.

Today they sound more mature and not chaotic coz they speak of building state mines and leaving current mines to continue. They hold this narrative on everything they used to demand nationalization on. This is good thing coz now they starting to make sense to us who never forget our calculatorsat home when we listen to ideology. Its good that they abandoned that ideology of communist destructive ideology and adopted one that is more competitive and would allow the country to keep growing instead of restarting everything to the soviet era and its collapse.
