Soap & Clay is a family owned business operating in Washington State, but started out online thanks to Mrs. Soap & Clay's kickass brother and his amazing web design skills. She cried when she walked up to the podium to accept the award. A lot.

I've tossed coffee grounds into lye solution using that same logic "lye water gets HOT AND WILL BREW THE DANGER COFFEE" It's nice to skip directly to that step! I never thought to add whole beans tho, i love that idea and cant wait to see how all the bars perform! ☕☕☕

Love the soap, interesting discoloration already. I think it's because of the double use of coffee, but who's to say😂.. Anyway, as always great soap and can't wait to see all the tests!

Definitely curious to see the discoloration. 🤔the coffee beans in the lye caused oxidation? Idk that’s speculation on my part.

I'm thinking some coffee oil still leached out of the beans and that caused the discoloration. Maybe?
