Will cross drilled and slotted rotors stop my brakes from warping and fading?

It is about 6 weeks since I installed these. They still have not warped. Will continue testing.

Still extremely smooth without warping

Rotor retainer screw holes do align on every rotor, you just had to rotate it ~ 180 degrees. Doing it randomly you have 20% chance aligning, half randomly (as in the video) 50% chance :)

Ha! I did try every orientation but maybe I made a mistake!

If this keeps re-occurring check your wheel hubs for runout.

Good idea! It is still ok now. Will update everyone if it warps again

No it won't. I put brand new drilled and slotted disc with a matched pair of ceramic pads and 2 months later they were warped.

Your rotors aren't warping, you're getting uneven pad material built up on the rotor faces. And how do you know there over heated ?

How can I tell if it is warping vs material build up? The stock brakes would fade severely when going down large mountains aggressively and smell like burning resin

Not yet! I’m still testing them with spirited driving in the hills. I’ll provide an update video when I’m convinced they are effective

I just installed Callahan Performance holes, slotted rotors & pads on my Lexus rx330. I drive 6 days a week 20+ miles daily. So far all good. 👍
