Top artists can just be omitted but you can use lower level artists who'll jump at the opportunity and it'll be great marketing. You won't get Jay but you could get Big Sean. yeah too much risk not enough reward. negotiating with dozens of rappers would be annoying AF. Fighting games are niche now and do not sell well. The online player base would suffer the same fate as most fighting games, A skill gap will be created and 20% will stay and get better and the other 80% will be like "fuck this shit these niggas kicking my ass".

Def Jam Fight for NY was one of the greatest fighting games EVER. The character roster was crazy. I was wondering back then how they got all those rappers. It's sad that a remake wouldn't happen cause of greed, knowing that damn near everybody would buy that game on release. The only way this game get made is if were a damn pay wall like Injustice. You simply buy the rappers you want. $3 a rapper and $1.50 of that goes to the artist. So your popularity defines how much cut you receive.

They need to bring back Def Jam Vendetta AND Def Jam Fight For New York because they have ALOT of updated video capture equipment nowadays with no old equipment to video capture for PS2 and regular old Xbox… I’ve been trying different recording equipment I brought for months and none worked… but New gen consoles have natural video capture… I’m A BEASTTTTT at both games so I wanted to record and put on KZbin but I can’t currently until they remake/remaster these games for NEW GEN CONSOLES… PLEASEEEEEE DO THIS😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I LITERALLYYYYYY prayed for months for these 2 games to be released to New Gen consoles like the PS3.. @@PontFlair see everyone says that, but I remember beating the breaks off of Crack when I played FFNY. Honestly the entire story mode was a cake walk except for two fights. Those being the one where you have to fight with Method Man after he gets jumped and Crow aka Snoop Dogg. Snoop Dogg's scrawny self had the highest strength and Endurance stats as all the other fighters and still somehow had the best speed and stamina stats. Fighting him was aggravating.
