I am not a huge fan of his, but I love how completely serious he always seems in situations like this. Plus-side for him: if he ever really tries to do something like this and fails (who knows, maybe that was that one time :D), everybody will assume it's a joke, so he really never has any reason to get embarrassed. On the other hand, nobody might ever take him serious, even when he is.

Andy's gentle soul always shows in how animals have acted around him through the years. That African cat that just instantly hopped up on the couch next to him for head scritches. The Scrap where his sweet dog thought he was in danger during rehearsal and kinda freaked out. Tells me the important things I need to know about the man: how he treats dogs and cats. ❤️

When I first watched this, I thought Will was talking seriously I was amazed by this great actor to be devoted himself to animals in his spare time...I found it very touching. Everything was great the training course looked wonderful Will looked very "professional " and "knowledgeable" of the animals behavior. His description of the course was almost spot on until that infamous tight rope section I smirked while thinking "there's no way a dog will ever pass through that". Something was off right there...I almost fainted after literally pissed myself when those dogs did nothing but chaos on the set. The darn clicker while Will desperately tried to control that wolf pack... sent me to the floor. When he called the chihuahua Pepino and threatened it to send it back to Mexico, almost sent me to ER for oxygen depletion. In just few ocassions I have laughed that much in my life!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I’m pretty sure it’s because Will Ferrell creates his own skits for these talk shows rather than adapting someone else’s material like he has to do in a movie. He’s naturally funny and much more funny than most comedy movie scriptwriters. Conan is naturally funny in the same way as Ferrell. You can see this in his remotes. While Conan is very funny in the studio, following a script composed by his writers, he is absolutely hilarious in his remotes which are unscripted.

I have commented on this clip before, but the irony is those dogs are so well trained, they leave the set at perfect timing. And I know people in the wings have treats guiding them, but the fact they all dispersed to leave a shot of Will and Conan alone is pretty good obedience. Treats aren't the cure all for dogs, like how the one in the beggining took off into the stands. There is a lot going on around them, and none even were curious to play on that course of their own free will. The people in the wings must have the catnip for dogs
