Except Andy Jensen is hardly what one would consider not professional or even "less professional". He had the first turbo car in the 3s in the 1/8 and the first sbc powered door car in the 5s in 2009. He's not just some unknown dyno operator.

have you seen the setup? just from first impression nobody would expect that thing to work. the wirirng was dodgy, the engine is untouched from a junkyard and the rest ist used parts that normally not go together in that configuration.

Yeah, you don’t have to worry about blowing those engines up! Those things can handle double the horsepower you got there and then some in the factory setting. 1500 hp. Incredible engines. Good choice

There's nothing wrong with topping off your fuel tank. It's the forcing more fuel in after its full and clicks done that's the problem. That extra 3/4 of a gallon isn't worth the trouble.

That's what topping off the tank is, continuing filling after it the nozzle clicks. Don't do that. Once the nozzle clicks, that's it, don't put anymore in. I replace canisters all the time due to people topping off their tanks and saturating the canister.

Just open the canister and dry out the charcoal/replace filter screens. Good as new.

Having a spare engine for race day is nice, but the fact that a junkyard engine held up at that power means your new'ish built 4.8L should be a walk in the park for that power level. Would better heads , bigger cam help make more power or would it make the same power just at a lower psi cause the turbos are maxing out?

what is the max psi each turbo can run? look up part on internet the internet. on average truck diesel turbos can run 25 psi each turbo no problem. i ran 26 max psi on my small car turbo do a search on turbo part# max recommended psi

I always re- gap the 2nd comp ring too. The 2nd comp ring will see a lot more heat too under boost, so it really should be re-gapped at the same time imo... I build A LOT of engines for work and friends/ my own as I'm a qualified mechanic...

Just thinking out loud here but would a correct mafs and o2 sensor reading help out with the power or would they just auto default to certain perameters?

They were running "speed density" which doesn't use a mass air flow sensor. Also they were running a wide band sensor.

They are using a gen 3 computer which doesn't have enough airflow range with that setup so they've deleted the MAF and are tuning it speed density with their own wideband spitting data out into the HPtuners dongle. He probably has a VE histograph that matches the look of his VE table in his tune so he can see his AFR's or AFR error at each breakpoint of RPM v. MAP. HPtuners makes going SD very easy with it's excellent logging software.
