For me it was the final shot where Will shuts the door to that apartment (that FABULOUS apartment). I really felt the reboot could have gotten the old magic back if they’d have brought us into Will and Grace’s new parenting life. I could easily see another 10 seasons in that new realm.

I have lived in places (ok, a place) like this. When I left, I stood there on moving day and said out loud that this is where it all happened, all of the meaningful stuff in my adult life, and while it was time to go it was so sad to leave it behind. I shed a tear. And then I moved on to the Muslim movers who were so clearly uncomfortable moving a gay couple to their new home that they couldn’t be done with us fast enough. Sigh.

You four still had the same chemistry. The characters evolved over the seasons but they still shared a love for each other. The Fab Four of Sitcoms. I prefer this ending to the 2006 one... after this one aired originally I went back and watched the 2006 ending and that one felt off to me, like they couldn't have their families and be in each others lives it had to be one or the other, cause they didn't become friends again until their kids were grown, and then their kids got together so they'd always be family but I felt that was kind of a let down for their relationship.. like this one when he said "we've been will and grace long enough" they are each other's families and this time it isn't keeping them from having a romantic partner like this episode opened up the possibility of Mccoy and Will reconciling, but I thought this was a more fitting way to end their story... but thats just my opinion I know it;s not the popular one on here lol

I think it would have been a cool plot twist if Leo had been revealed as the father. Like maybe during her trip she bumped into him and they had a one night thing and he was the dad. I think it would have been cool also if they’d brought Vince back for Will. Like he divorced his husband because he couldn’t shake Will and then he came back and they raised their babies together.

Like everybody was back but it didn't seem to make a ton of sense why. I watched like 5 episodes and just couldn't get into it. It was like it was...sort of forced in a way.

I just binged watched the last three seasons on Roku. I feel the same way you did - it was hard to get into the first several episodes of the ninth season. It was a little bit too political. It seemed that the next season which was number 10 was much more enjoyable. But it still felt forced at times and definitely not as natural and quirky as the original run was. I’m glad they did the reboot, though, because this was a really great sitcom with a really talented cast and very clever writers. It was groundbreaking in its day and still probably is to some degree. I’m glad they did the three season reboot even though it might not have been as good as the original run was. And I thought the ending of the finale at the end of season 11 was done very well, too. It nicely wrapped up all the loose ends and was hopeful and positive. I see Sean Hayes has been substituting for Jimmy Kimmel on his late night talk show, and I hope Hayes gets his own talk show some day. I think he would be great at that!

the original ending was maybe rushed, but still ok. there was not a need for a reboot, let alone a reboot with a retcon. even worse, the reboot was honestly terrible, for three seasons they mostly just complained about getting older. so i've decided i'll just ignore the reboot in the future, i'll consider it some kind of bonus feature, an alternate retelling of the story in a parallel universe.

McCoy was nice but his return was a little too neat. We really don't see any growing pains with them as a couple. We saw more with Will and Vince and for me that's the better couple. Shame Bobby D'Angelo didn't want to return for more episodes, hence Will and Vince broke up.
