Just as a side…. doubling the size of a circle results in far more than a doubling of the surface area. Great video.

My experience with heavy duty clutches with heavy duty springs mean 2 things...Harder Clutch Pull and extra stress on the throwout bearing that could lead to the bearings failure...
This video gives one the confidence of being able to do it themselves....niiiiiiiiiiiiiice video

I had the exact same problem with my derby cover I went with ARP 12 point bolts from chopper Hauss to never have this problem again especially with a component that’s a key serviceable item.

Thats why the Thrashin Supply guys John bought his bars from use that same hardware because the stock Harley stuff is junk like a lit of their stock parts hence why everyone does all kinds of mods and upgrades!

Good morning John great video. This is what I do Every 15000 miles I replace the bolts. They are inexpensive and made cheap That way I don't have that headache.. It when I do come across the bolt that that happens with when I change friends oil I have an easy out set I got it Lowe's. That way you don't have to drill it I've been pretty successful with that.. Have a great day my friend keep up the great work love the videos

Great video!! It sucks when those bolts break. I had one break when I replaced my clutch plates. I used screaming Eagle heavy duty pack.. works great on my bike.. but I am not putting down numbers close to yours. I get popping sounds with my purple panda mic.. I use a cheap mic,, I seen shadetree surgeon use it, and too me it works the best

John, I still get that same euphoria you showed on Blue Bayou, when I ride the Silver Bullet. It is not the most powerful bike. but it's nimble and modded to fit me perfectly. Motorcycles should be fun to ride, and you may want to reconsider raffling off that bike. I can tell you love it.🥰😄

I will tell you that Sean at Evolution recommends running all 6 red springs. He said the clutch can be slipping and you won’t necessarily feel it but that you can determine slippage on the dyno.
@RacerRick122 жыл бұрын
now you know to buy a few extra cover bolts & any other bolts you frequently use as spares! Next time you do the clutch just dip the frictions & steels in the oil & back in the basket…It doesnt make a difference having the frictions soak… you’ll notice that the clutch will bang into gear & will be pulling you with the clutch in until all the oil on the clutch plates flys off then it will engage smoother !

I’ve been following you a long time. But lately I’ve been ignoring your video’s. Mainly due to me questioning your advice on parts. You to tell the public that you’re going to give a true and honest opinion on parts. But sponsorships are huge. It’s hard for me to watch a full video when you’re talking about parts, because I question the validity of the parts that you’re promoting. 🎯🎯🎯👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿💯💯💯

Brother what do you recommend? Say a guy has some engine upgrades, he’s going to upgrade his suspension. Plans to upgrade, tires, wheels, bars, and custom paint. In what order would be best to get all these items done? I guess I’m asking with concerns of getting a custom paint job done too soon, and taking a chance of dinging it while still getting other things done on the bike. I’m sure we can cover things up, or simply “being careful” around an expensive paint job. Thoughts Big John.

Thank u for the response Man U just saved me. Can u recommend clutch plates that will help with my added torque and power from my 128 and match a man o war without changing the basket. I looked at the recluse but am praying for some guidance
@charlesd6459 Жыл бұрын
If you have a 128 and the Man o War motor sproket , then it’s important you use the complete Evolution clutch. The stock basket will fail in fairly short order. Pay attention to your primary chain tension. Find the tight spot and set 7/8” play when the bike is cold.
