Got my buddies 76 highboy started after it sat for 25 years when I was in highschool, replaced the fuel lines and filter, she ran like the day she was parked. Love this content, it's truly a one of a kind feeling reviving these old engines.

How it was when I got my Uncle's '73 International pickup many years ago,it had sat for many years but once I put a new fuel pump and a used carburetor on it and a few other things it started right up and I drove it for seven or eight years after that.

I love these videos. I've got a 68 fargo power wagin that's been sitting for 30 odd years that was my grandpas. Finally ripped the rotten motorhome off and trailered it to my grandma's house. Got an old 318 in it that apparently didn't run so great after it was rebuilt so I'm gonna do what I can to try and get it running but these videos are very informative and give me the hope I can do the same thing 😅

Great job getting it running. I bet these little Broncos with that 302 really get up and go. So small and lightweight!
@paulskalla68452 жыл бұрын
One with a 351w is a riot. Engine with a seat. The stock 2bbl on a 302 is pretty potent as well. Dad could light up all four 7.50x15.00s without much trouble.

Starting an old engine, I would always try to warm it up a bit. A 500 watt work light under, and very close to the pan overnight works great!

I knew the ether would come out and boy did you make use of it. I did that, once. Blew out the front seal, both valve cover gaskets and made a hell of a bang with a white cloud. Dogs were barking, neighbors were running out of their house thinking it was a gunshot. Have you considered a starting fluid manufacturer as a sponser?

Years ago maybe 2003 or 4 I bought an 81 Jeep CJ7 from a guy and he had a Ford 302 in it. I never found out what year the engine was, but that was the best engine I have ever owned in my life. And I still kick myself for selling it. I was young and not very smart was wheeling and dealing with friends all the time.

I’m glad you’re giving them “dirt daubers” their proper name. At least that’s what we call them in MS. They’ll clog up any thing that has an opening on a vehicle setting outside. Many mistake them for wasps.
