That would be cool, but not my truck, so it's up to him. I think he wants to keep it simple and just have a nice (cheap and easy) cruiser when it's all said and done.

Yeah it's a really clean start. Almost zero rust, every thing is solid, just needs the mechanicals sorted out. It should be a fun little driver after it's all done!

Wish Nissan would build these little 521 series trucks once again. This time, all of them with 4 wheel drive, and a 4 cylinder engine in them since gasoline prices have escalated a great deal. And regular cab trucks to, no 4 door station wagon trucks either. Or if you wanted a 2 wheel drive truck, you can get that just the same. I love the looks and design of the 521 series Datsun/Nissan trucks from back at that time, that's all ya need is a 4 cylinder engine.

I agree. Modern small trucks are like 1/2 ton trucks back in the day. There is a reason importing kei trucks and side by sides are so popular, it's because there aren't small trucks options available anymore (I think anyway).

Thoughts on getting a 72 Deere riding mower to run? Had it going a few months back. Now it runs but dies after 45 seconds or so. It’s very clean for its age. Would make a sweet video!

Sounds like a carb / fuel issue possibly. I could look at it some time.
