Bro, I do believe Puddin's Towrola has air conditioning, you have dusty floor vents, so I think he still has one-up on ya. Then again.., you have 4 wheel drive which is a major plus and the engine sounds great. In the mean time, I would install a new carb, get rid of the flat-bed and put a decent fleet or step side box on this canary and call it a keeper.

Hydraulic trailer brake unit are not as adjustable for power output as the newer models. The 2 units under the hood are variable resistors used to lower output voltage from the brake unit so the brakes on smaller trailers do not just lock up as soon as you step on the brakes. I have not seen one of those units in use since the 80's.

I'm a Mopar guy, but honestly, the best truck this family ever had was a 1983 C10 longbed with the 250 6, in custom deluxe trim. We got it from a local library that closed in 1997, with just 44k on it for $2k. Strangely optioned, it had the new for 83 wide ratio 700 R4, full gauges, am/fm dual speaker, p/s, manual brakes, (frt disc) 3/4 ton rear springs, factory light duty towing package with 5 pin harness and step bumper, and factory oversized towing mirrors. No carpet, standard bench seat. When we got it, it needed complete exhaust, full ign tune up, all the vac lines ( there were a LOT of them) and a carb rebuild. It had just got a new fuel tank and sender before we bought it.. To this day, it's the only Chevy of that vintage that I've ever seen the fuel gauge work and not bounce around. Body, paint and frame, super. No rust.. Floors? Gone. We replaced them. Found out the windshield was leaking behind the dash.. Just a great truck after all that was done. Damned thing started in subzero weather every time, 1 pump and turn key. Mom hated the thing, and after dad passed in 03, she sold it for... $700...I miss that old gal and would love to have another!

That 77 is pretty much a carbon copy of just about every one of my friends that had square bodies back in the day. Didn't quite run right. Burned or leaked pretty much every fluid. Same body rot they all have. Made all kinds of noise and weren't going fast. Especially the guys that thought they needed the little glasspacks. Fun video. Take care.

Transmission fluid getting sucked up into the vacuum hose on the modulator is a thing! I’ve seen it once in the last 40 years as a mechanic

@@MortskeRepair Their's usually a Autozone ad in there too. I personally avoid that place. I usually hit Cole's car quest Or O'Reilly in Munford TN. I enjoy your channel for the comedy as much as the repairs. Keep up the good work
