Hey. Shout out to Sam! He seems to be in a much happier place now. Seems like donating the 401 was the best thing happened to him. Since then his passion for aviation and working on planes reappeared. Looks like he had lots of unfinished projects and it has become a burden, but now he’s part of the team and making his birds fly again 🤟🏻

Everything was professionally rebuilt, and the aircraft is being built up by at least one and sometimes two certified inspectors. It damn well *_better_* start right up! 😛 But in all seriousness, it's a world of difference between basically building this "kit plane" up nearly from scratch, and trying to do a full-on restoration like the 401. And even with this being (almost) as "clean" a build as possible, there are still going to be little glitches to work out. Airplanes can be pretty complicated beasts, even "simple" ones like this. Details, man...
