Thank you for your video. I purchased the Dorman 911-918 Engine Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve at amazon today for $237 cdn on Amazon.ca Lordco wants $525+tax. After watching this I am hopeful I can repair it for the cost of the plastic bushings $7 at Napa. Then, I can save a bunch of$$! You made me pleasantly chuckle when you commented on the 10mm bolts size with "go figure". I haven't heard that expression since I moved from Nova Scotia in 1996. I wonder how many listeners understood it's meaning? lol

I see that the runner control actuator of my ford windstar does not move, maybe that is why it has a misfire in cylinder 3, I already cleaned the egr ports that possibly caused misfire but it did not work, now I suspect the runner control actuator.

Our van is throwing a few different codes. However previous owner blames the NOISE on Changing the map sensor, and not resetting it. Now the codes im getting are the Idle air control circuit Transmission range sensor a circuit... While sitting in park idling it sounds like almost a thump thump thump suction noise. Please help

How the hell do you actually get the bushings in?? The rear one is bad enough, (can't even see it) but I can't even get the front one in without catching and breaking one of the prongs... (still wouldn't go in)... I even filed the square out a bit!! I also bought less expensive bushings, and they're crap!! (would Ford oem be any better? ..doubtful) The prongs break off right away! I broke one just going on the IMRC, which is the EASY part! There has to be a better (McGiver) way!! Why does Ford cut square holes requiring critical alignment, where they just want a round pivot anyway??? Why not just make a round hole with a round bushing? There's no reason to prevent the bushing from turning! How incredibly STUPID (and annoying) is that?? I'm going to need to McGiver this so my engine doesn't rely on tiny bits of difficult-to-replace crap plastic that will just fail again soon... this should be all-metal! These bushings are garbage, and the design is by an imbecile.
