I service equipment at 250 hrs to have no issues( much cheaper with less down time/ more billable time), 500 hrs is at your own risk of break downs (due to excessive fine fuel filters! Random breakdowns..), over 500 hrs and you can just plan on issues that inexpensive filters would prevent. Oil will not last 1000 hrs either. That said it is your truck and trailer, do as you please. Enjoy the videos, love that family is first.
@TruckingTogether5 ай бұрын
I agree, thermo king wants you to go 3k hrs. I think 1000 is excessive too, definitely won’t go that long. Theres a sediment filter on there and it sucked air next to the actual fuel filter.

On the old farm tractors when we didn’t have ether we would soak rags with gasoline and place it over the breather and it worked fine, diesel motors get addicted to ether and continuously there for and after

@janvanrenselaar59985 ай бұрын
When i did refrigerated transport in Europe and mainly russia. The company serviced the T-Kings every 500 hours around, new filters,bets etc. And the empty also the Fuel tank for the T-King. Just to make sure they stayed clean. And the put on a extre breather on top of that tank,because the breather hole in the lid could easy clog up with dirt specialy in the winter time. Never had any problem at all. While there were company,s who had always a problem when the temp was dropping.
@TruckingTogether5 ай бұрын
That’s what I started doing too, I believe the filter was plugged. TK says 3k hours which is way to much, I used to do 1000 so this was in range. I ended up servicing the reefer and all is good.

The company i am with tell the drivers when under a quarter of a tank to turn it off and wait about 10-15 minutes to restart. This gives some time for the trashbl to settle in the bottom of the tank.

So if y'all remember I'm retired from a truck manufacturer which I won't mention this time, so a newly assembled truck 🚛 wouldn't start, so out came the ether to help start it, cans later and I mean cans later, too many cans later, somebody caught wind of the situation, leadman, foreman, supervisor? And said well that brand new engine is ruined, like $40.000.00, Martin would have a better idea how much 💲💲💲💲 for an engine.
