@@ghagzor I point out Gane's lack of ground game because that was what everyone that knew anything was predicting about their fight. He was going to take Gane to the ground, especially after his fight against Ngannou. Guy's lost down there. And Gane is also one of the few fighters that's as dirty as Jones. He pokes eyes, kicks groins, back of the head strikes as much if not more than Jones. Jones would have been an idiot to stand with Gane, especially with Gane's kickboxing skills. Stipe though? I feel like Stipe has every tool to beat Jones: More power, good enough wrestling to not get flatlined like Gane, great fundamental boxing (Jones has fantastic elbows, kicks, knees but his boxing has always been a bit lacking) but we'll see if age and being battle worn play into it. Regardless, knowing Jones, whether Dana has snipers trained on Stiopic or the judges have to throw a banana peel in for him to slip on, somehow Jones will curse us all again and get the W.

I may be alone on this but I don't think Jons gonna run through Stipe this will be a closer fight than believed the fact that everyone's making a big deal about Stipe bein older is hilarious just for in simple fact that the heavyweight division progresses alot slower than any other division, meaning the fighters in that division get better with time no matter how old they are We don't know what Stipe has been doin since his loss to Francis but from the looks of it he wasn't sitting around getting fat and out of shape. We all know he's a firefighter and he has to stay in shape to a certain extent, but looks like he's been training to me Stipe is a natural heavyweight and a unicorn in division due to his speed and his combination selection coupled by his ability to wrestle and his endurance other than his quick knockout of Fabricio Werdum how does he win He wins by taking his opponents deep into rounds and drowning them We've only seen Jon fight at in the heavyweight division heavyweight for less than around we don't know how his cardio is going to hold up with that muscle he put on and to be honest, he looked out of shape I strongly believe if John can't beat Stipe and the first two rounds If he shows up looking the way he did physically vs Gane Stipe is gonna win callinit now

I feel like this fight should have happened at the latest 2019 early 2020 when both men were champs and in top form. The matchup doesn’t interest me as much, I’m still keen to tune in and see what the rest of the card has because New York rarely doesn’t deliver. But I feel like this is 4 years later than it should have been.

Brock vs Carwin Brock vs Velasquez Velasquez vs Dos Santos Brock vs Overeem DC v Stipe saga This are really the only times I’ve felt the heavyweight division was at its peak but even then it’s not really the division, it’s just the title fights or maybe the top two to four guys. The lighter divisions have always been more exciting to me.

He won’t easily steamroll him in the beginning, but I won’t be shocked if he’s able to get a finish after a few rounds. Also won’t be shocked if it goes to decision, though. Jones has had a lot of decisions against fighters everyone expected him to dominate.

Stipe has some saucy combos. He has decent elboes, knees, leg kicks. Doesnt throw them that much, but hes deceptive. I think if he can stuff Jones' takedowns, Jon will get nervous real fast

Stipe has an amazing fighting resume and deserves a tremendous amount of respect, but based off his last few performances he’s starting to look a bit more slow with his movement and I think he’s going to be a sitting duck for jones. Would have been better if they fought when stipe was in his prime, rather than fighting him coming off a KO loss 2 years ago and being 2-2 in his last four fights.

I doubt any youtube analyzers would say the shit they say in front of any of the fighters they shit on. The disrespect for stipe is wild. Truly think about how many people ran from Francis. Stipe fought him twice and beat him once. How many people can say they beat Francis? Jones didn't wanna fight Francis and swooped in for the belt after he dipped. Not saying stipe will do this or that but to say he won't give Jones a challenge is wild to me. Not to mention dude is a hero in Cleveland and helps saves lives. So to give him shit for prioritizing that over entertainment is corny.

It's possible, miocic did have trouble with cormier on the feet until he obviously won the fight, Jones is more dynamic than he's ever seen at heavyweight, plus stipes lay off for like 2-3 years or whatever it is, obviously stipe is dangerous but I have always been critical of his run to the title when he started, he beat alot of older guys hell werdum literally ran at him like a stupid fuck and ran into a punch

Listen Stipe needs to drastically increase his head movement. Idc if he can take shots and has a great chin. Jon is crazy at creating an opening where he lands clean power shots. Whether it be elbows, head kicks, etc. we've seen Stipe go out from shots. Can Stipe get inside Jon's range and KO him? Yes. He got in Francis Range and beat him up, beat JDS in stand up. Took put an offensive Werdum like its possible. But Stipe's head movement can be atrocious at times.
