After over 5000 years history, China still have over 120millions of Ethnic Minorities including 12.7millions Xinjiang Uyghurs, 1.8millions Muslim Kazakhs, 13.0millions Muslim Hui & over one-half million other minority Muslims. The Tibetan population is over 6 million also. In comparison to USA together with Canada and Australia short histories, how many "millions" of Native American in North America and Native Australian left?? Not even one million because Australia & USA and Canada have literally exterminated over 95% of Native Australian and North American Native Red Indians. THIS IS WHAT WE CALLED THIS REAL GENOCIDE. I'm not pro Chinese, but the fact that a politicians is going to "decide" whether or not there's a genocide shows that this is about geopolitical games, not objective facts. And frankly, if what the Chinese government is doing to the Uyghurs (importing Han Chinese immigrants, encouraging inter-ethnic marriage, attacking and delegitimizing Uyghur culture and history, and denouncing anyone who resists as an "extremist"), then you could just as easily say that the British liberal establishment is carrying out a genocide against the native British, since it does all of those things too.

Dimwit comment. The government has to 'decide' its policy - ie whether it calls out the genocide, or whether (like the Germans and the French) keep quiet about it as people did about persecution of Jewish people in 1930s Germany. And there is simply NO comparison between China's actions and anything UK government does today - say the wrong thing about the Chinese Government and you can end up under house arrest or have the company you founded taken away from you. Nothing remotely like that happens here.

My wife is Chinese. She is no fan of Xi. However I am no fan of Truss. I think our countries' politicians are all out-of touch with the populations they represent and see politics as a career and path to self enrichment with good salaries, perks and pensions and all the other 'paths' open to them.
