The low that perpetually comes from the southeast through the Bight is now stretching far inland, I've been watching that weather pattern since I was a kid. The upshot is weird cold snaps and even icy days in summer, but overall, the average temps are still higher. Some of these September snows in NSW have been really unseasonal.
