Hello from snowy Michigan, hope everyone is safe and healthy out there !?!🎉

Just protect Joe should be priority 1. Running the ball better and effectively is a part of that but when he drops back the guys in front of him have to be upgraded. In particular the guards. On D, I feel if we had another valid PR like a Zadarius Smith that would help out Trey and the overall D tremendously

I hope the Bengals acquire a short yardage bigger back to use on 3rd down runs or red zone goal line running situations where the run is a proven option to a pass. Of course blocking skills would be important skills of this bigger back as well.

Here’s the missing question: The Boys talk about him being a good "fit." If Pollack wasn’t, and the implication is that he wasn’t, then what took 3 years to replace him?
@alexodonnell87994 күн бұрын
Because he has ties with the front office and just because he doesn’t fit what the bengals offense does best, doesn’t make him a bad coach.
@haroldmoskowitz63974 күн бұрын
@alexodonnell8799 He was unbelievably bad. Approximately 60 sacks which would have been higher had Burrow not been a great escape artist .
@pdureska78144 күн бұрын
I would hope so because thats why he's being hired. % years into Joe's career he is still 3rd in the league in sacks and is high up with regards to QB pressures and hits. He's lost a good part of 2 seasons (ACL and torn wrist ligament) all because of hits in the pocket. Simple math. The more you get hit and sacked and the greater the risk of injury. Zac Taylor has apparently flunked basic math because in his years of coaching this team he has failed to fix the O line adequately nor has he developed a complementary run game to take some of the pressure of of Joe and to perhaps control the ball more in the 4th quarter so we dont lose those close games. We've drafted 2 first round guys since Taylor has been coaching. Mims this past year (i think he'll be very good if not great) and Jackson Carmine an second round pick (after trading down from a low first round pick) who's been a total bust. Plus with Burrow's first year he had a center not recovered from an ACL the previous year and he was not good. The rest of our O linemen come from late round projects (rds 4-7) that arent even good enough to be decent backups. If you want a high chance of a rookie lineman to start his first year then you better take him in the first 100 draft picks...thats what the data shows. Clearly Tobin and Taylor are clueless about this fact. What we need are 2 new starting guards. I suggest taking a guard in the second round and get the other new guard as a high level free agent. We need to preserve our first round pick for a defensive player. We could use another running back to fill the void of Samaji Perine whom we lost a couple years ago and have not replaced. perhaps using a 4th or 5th round pick there would help back up Chase Brown who seems to be able to do it all. Get rid of Burton. The kid is a cancer and cut our losses. We sure could have used that 3rd round pick on a good guard. But not stupid Zac. Resign Tee, extend Hendrickson and keep our good core players. Front office needs to figure out how to sign all of our good players. Other teams like the Chiefs and Eagles seem to be able to do it why not us. I dont care how much it costs sign Chase. They screwed the pooch by not extending him last year now they are going to have to pay him a hell of a lot more.

Teams that pass it over 60% of the time or more have all missed the playoffs this year. That's 7 teams that missed it. Bengals are second at nearly 65% pass to run... Too Predictable. teams that passed it 52% or less all made the playoffs... 6 teams ran it more or about the same amount of times they passed it and they made the playoffs. I know defenses play a factor in this but the 80s hogs would be pissed if the team passed it so damn often... Balance keeps defenses guessing and the sign of a dominant offense is how well you can keep the defense honest... The oline will never keep burrow upright or stay healthy if they have to pass block 60+ percent of the time... They need an OC that can keep a defense honest not rely so heavily on QB and WRs... Right now if you traded the olines of eagles or lions they would struggle to pass block especially when the QB has stated he will not throw it away... He is always trying to make something happen. Until they run it 50% of the time there is no way burrow is not a top sacked QB in NFL.
@wanderlking86344 күн бұрын
Teams that are passing it a lot are often doing so because they are playing from behind.
@Montrovantis4 күн бұрын
@@wanderlking8634 But not the Bengals. They pass a lot and throw out of s-gun or empty sets over 75% of plays. They are not deceptive or complete. And it's Burrow who wants to play this way. The Bengals don't care about the game situation. They're going to line up in the same set every play and every time they DO run it, the RB has to stunt his momentum when running and reach the line a half second slower than if they lined up under center. The offensive line looked pretty good when Browning played under center and Burrow played under center a bit to start the season. Then they got away from that and the dumb fans want to blame the offensive line. There is no collection of 5 people walking earth today who is going to prevent Joe Burrow from taking hits and pressure with his simple, 1 dimensional approach to the game. It just is not possible. It doesn't matter how many people you draft and sign and how many coaches and schemes you go through. Until Burrow can play the QB position in a complete manner, he is going to take extensive and unnecessary punishment.

That pick 6 on the last play of the first half in the Cardinals loss to Pittsburgh was the 2nd most nauseating play in Super Bowl history, worse than Jackie Smith's dropped pass or Pete Carroll not giving Marshawn Lynch the ball against the Patriots. But worst of all was Pete Johnson's third failed attempt from the one yard line.

Having read thousands of these types of email exchanges..this is simply lawyer-eeze posturing that will eventually settle without question. However assigning this one single project to the "son in law " may not have been the most prudent decision by the family. Since the blissful wedding day many years ago this is only the 2nd time ever heard Troy pop up. The other if u recall was praising bobby hart and letting hof whit walk out...but it will settle regardless

@brianiniowa22903 күн бұрын
The short passing game, including WR screens, isn't truly an extension of the run game because it doesn't punish over-aggressive pass rushes. Run games and screens in the middle do. Bengals need to put pause into opposing pass rushes to give their O line a fighting chance. Too many drop backs also generated higher number of offensive interceptions and fumbles that ended their season early.

if they are gonna make tax payers put big money on the stadium they need a retractable roof and they need to hold way more events in the offseason in the stadium, i mean if we are stuck paying for it lol

@@Montrovantis well brainseeds planted two roots, one involving retractability, the other more generally holding more events at the stadium. Retraction allows them to hold inclement weather non-football events, i.e. "hold more events".
