I agree with this, apart from the part where you say, “you know you can both get and deserve better than what you were already getting” considering my ex jumped into a rebound relationship 3 weeks after we split up from an almost 2 year relationship, I don’t think she can get better than me, I know I deserve better and can he better then her, the reason I say this is cause her reasons for ending a great relationship was for her to work on herself, it all became an excuse in the end, so she has lost a great guy with a great personality who only had pure intentions and visioned a bright future with her, overall her loss

@@DeltaTempest completely forgot about this, damn this year has gone quick. We are no longer on speaking terms, a lot has happened between us since then, she wasted 5 months of my life coming back when no other guy was interested and acted like she cared for me, even got to the point where she wanted me back and after giving her countless chances to get me back she yet again messed it up, now with being single for almost a year and reflecting back on everything is that in some cases we were both the problem but I can say more of her than me cause of her initial actions towards me and me allowing that behaviour from her and allowing her to treat me the way she did, I can now say never again. I am so much stronger now mentally and I’m in the best shape of my life physically, yeah it’s all good trying to show her what she’s missing but it’s gotta be for the right reasons and not to just be petty, my main focus has always been me since we broke up, I’ve conquered the insecurities she projected onto me and I can say I’m actually feeling true happiness and I am no longer wearing a mask. Where with her I’m pretty sure she’s in a new relationship now and from everything I’ve seen and heard from her this year she’s done nothing to work on herself as it was only back in August she was telling me she was still mentally fucked and thinking about our breakup and how she treated me, so honestly she was a toxic broken person and I dodged a massive bullet and the more it think about it the breakup had nothing to do with me and it was just that she was a broken person who didn’t want to heal from her childhood traumas

You need to let go of the pain and bear in mind that you deserve better than what you were getting. There's someone out there who will treat you the way you deserve. Just trust God's plan and wait patiently. That's what I've learned from my break up.

I'm starting to think that most narcs have the disorder because it's a learned trait. I mean after watching their parents rebound consistently they think it's normal or the playa thing to do. It's not a power struggle for me treat me like I deserve and you can expect me to do the same but, if you treat me like a joke I will be the one laughing as I heal and walk away.
